PURPOLARIS Posted January 9, 2012 Share Posted January 9, 2012 Is it possible to tell the model of a Fender Bass from the serial number? My boss' son has a USA Jazz Bass that he wants to sell but doesn't know what it's worth. I'm waiting to find out if he knows what model it is but the serial number is Z2230218 which I think makes it a USA made 2002. I'll hopefully have a pic tomorrow to shed more light on it. A picture will help, but if it's just solid colour/sunburst, dot markers, passive (Vol/Vol/tone, possibly with S1 switch)....thats a standard , great basses! If everything is mint and all the 'case-candy', good condition case etc etc, probably closer to the £650 perhaps.
