Although there are a few nice old Classic Cafes about on the Goldhawk Road - Zippy's is particularly worth it if you enjoy a cardiac arrest on a plate. I haven't been there for donkey's years, but might be worth a look if you're really stuck for something to do. Why not hop on the Hammersmith & City line a couple of stops to Ladbroke Grove and wander along Portobello Road?
