Garry[/quote] There are only 2 bass players in Latin America that kept amusing musicians and those are Cachao and Carlitos del Puerto, those guys could play in the "One, behind it and before it without sweating. I had the pleasure of seeing both players and Cachao was better because Cachao had more musical knowledge. I even remember a video of him playing Madison Square Garden in which you can see Ron Carter taking notes, it was a joy so see a legend like Ron Carter not even blinking. R.I.P maestro.
