A string question.

After a bit of advice. Really need to change the strings on my Epi Thunderbird. This might sound really bad but I haven't changed them since I bought it, so no idea whats on it or the gauge or anything. I know its a bit of a trial and error thing when it comes to finding the strings you like. But would be very grateful for some ideas of where I should start.

Good point, sorry too much wine with lunch. It is after all yet another bank holiday out here in France. Play in a covers band doing mostly rock and roll(trying to get them into some more modern stuff) But also play a fair bit of Led Zepp and Deep purple. Not sure about what sound I want, could do with a bit of life in it but without losing the bottom end. Perhaps any new set of strings will give this.
