icastle Posted August 4, 2011 Share Posted August 4, 2011 From a purely mechanical point of view it's doable if you don't mind fiddling about adapting parts to fit properly. However, from a cost point of view you will probably find that the sum of the spare parts needed will by far exceed the cost of buying a pre-made one... synaesthesia Posted August 4, 2011 Share Posted August 4, 2011 Beware that the early MIM J basses used two same sized pickups as opposed to the long and short Js.
