I moved to the UK at the beginning of this year after having lived in India, Ireland, France and the USA at various times in the past. I have been playing the bass guitar for about 15 years as a hobby. My musical tastes are eclectic and include classic rock, progressive rock, funk, jazz, fusion and world music genres. My bass guitars: Fender Jazz Jaco Pastorius Signature Model, Fender Jazz Marcus Miller Signature Model, Ibanez SR506 6-String Bass Other gear: SWR LA-8, Hartke A-35, Punch Factory Optical Compressor, Sadowsky Outboard Preamp, E-MU 0404 Audio Interface Past guitars and gear: Mustang copy, Warwick Thumb BO 4, Warwick Nobby Miedel, Yamaha RBX 4, Digitech BP200 My current wish-list: Fodera Emperor Richard Bona Signature, Fodera Monarch Victor Wooten Signature, Overwater Progress III Deluxe 6 string , Overwater Progress III Deluxe 6 string Fretless, Spector Euro 4LX, SWR Headlite, Roland GT-10B, Digitech Jamman Stereo, The list of bass guitarists who I count as inspirations include: Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Richard Bona, John Patitucci, Geddy Lee, Chuck Rainey, Paul McCartney, John Deacon, Billy Sheehan, Dominique Di Piazza, Kai Eckhardt, Bakithi Khumalo, Charles Mingus et al. I am hoping to play with a suitable band in London on a part-time basis. Hope to contribute in some way to the BassChat community as well!
