I had never done a full set up before, I always took my bass to a tech to sort out any problems. I could put on a new set of string but anything more was out of my comfort zone. Recently I have my '57RI P to bits and replaced some parts and thought that a visit to a tech was next but I saw this thread on here that gave me the info I needed to do it myself - [url="http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=133612&st=0"]http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=133612&st=0[/url] . I would never have had the confidence to attempt this before but the result is amazing, I have set up it up exactly as I like it and cost me naff all.
