Just wondering whether anyone has tried the Futurama PB62 Precision Bass.

The Bass Merchant in Colchester had a couple in last time I was there, and they told me they played and sounded great.

They certainly look the part, and at £159.99 a go, it could make a great back-up bass!

interesting!

I wonder how long it'll be until Fender object to that headstock and font...

I like this one:

I'm not regretting buying the Squier CV series in fiesta red two weeks ago, because it's turned out to be a fantastic bass. But these certainly have the looks. I wonder what they are like in use.

I agree, the red looks great, and having seen them in the flesh, they all really do look the part.

I just wish I took the time now to try one, when I was last in the Bass Merchant.

The headstock and logo must surely wind Fender up a bit!

Sexxxxy!

They certainly look the part, but I would love to hear from anyone who played one.

I am getting very tempted indeed!

Meanwhile "Back to the future" (July 6 /2023) as the Futurama Precision and Jazz bass proclaim. Im off in an hour or two to pick up a 2nd hand jazz versión of one of these basses, for €75! Ive only seen photoraphs but how far wrong can you go for 75 euros?!!. I know my basses and this is a lake placid blue Jazz bass copy. If it said Fender on the hedstock Id have no reason to doubt it. I own a Fender Precision and this guitar has Fender written all over it. Top to toe. To be honest everything about it, on looks, says Tokai. Ive never never heard of a Tokai Futurama jazz bass but strange things happen in the guitar world. Its a 2012 or 2013.I report back in a few hours, after it's had it's médical through the bass amp. Good luck.. To me.. And you of course.
