Meanwhile "Back to the future" (July 6 /2023) as the Futurama Precision and Jazz bass proclaim. Im off in an hour or two to pick up a 2nd hand jazz versión of one of these basses, for €75! Ive only seen photoraphs but how far wrong can you go for 75 euros?!!. I know my basses and this is a lake placid blue Jazz bass copy. If it said Fender on the hedstock Id have no reason to doubt it. I own a Fender Precision and this guitar has Fender written all over it. Top to toe. To be honest everything about it, on looks, says Tokai. Ive never never heard of a Tokai Futurama jazz bass but strange things happen in the guitar world. Its a 2012 or 2013.I report back in a few hours, after it's had it's médical through the bass amp. Re. Tokai TB 48 bass guitar. I bought one in early 2019.I still have it as well as a Fender Precision bass. I got it second hand but it looks new. The Tokai Thunderbird has a great sound. It has two humbucker pickups which are just out of this world. Really good. It only had one issue and all Thunderbirds have it and that is, it's headstocks heavy and tendency to neck dive. I just held bass differently and it was sorted. The sound is excellent, top notch.
