I can only give you the usual ten minute shop noodle review but I remember the mids being very forward, not for me but great for burpy growl! 7string Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 I've had mine a couple of months now and I really like it. It feels great, plays great and sounds good. For players who want to change the sound, there's always an option to install a B string magnetic kit to beef up the lower end a bit and it's $15. I'm really wanting a Dingwall and need a second bass so the Combustion is right up my street. The action was a bit high for me and it was a 5er and I don't like satin necks. Great bass for the monay, but not really for me. I really GASsed after one last year too. waltsdog Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 I tried the combustion last year and ended up getting an abz instead. The combustion was ok but the abz was the much better bass for not much more cash, I would recommend you try them both if you can. Also you might want to take advantage of the take it away scheme (if finance is your thing) sooner rather than later as I believe its about to change to only under 25's soon.
