Yamaha BB1100s

Just wanted to share this. Apologies for the grainy photos.

I bought 'Be Be' in 1987 because it looked a bit like the pink one that Billy Sheehan had. Over the next few years it underwent various mods, including:
- brass/bone nut
- OBL pickups
- Schaller bridge
- D-tuner
- Pickup selector replaced with pan switch

After buying a Kubicki bass in 1992, I had the frets taken out of this one, realised I couldn't play fretless and put it in the loft.

Fast forward to the present day. Mike Walsh has put a new maple fretboard on it and given it a general spruce up. I am chuffed to bits.

That picture brings back some memories! How old is that one? The body shape looks a bit more rounded off than mine.

I'm not sure how old it is ? its a made in japan one, stamped on the back of the headstock, hmm, I think they look the same shape, the horns ook the same,
