I have been playing bass for about twenty years in originals, tribute / function bands upto audience sizes of a few hundred. Favourite players include bootsy, james jamerson, jah wobble and paul simonon. I Use Fender precision and Jazz basses through a Peavey Firebass and 410 cabinet with EBS compressor, Boss Synth pedal and RAT distortion. Also have a hohner B2A and Aria shortscale les paul shaped thingy which is very pretty. Have a cheap Legacy electro acoustic too. Use a pandora for practicing which is invaluable. Wouldn't say I was a particularly good player technically or have good ears but I enjoy playing the bass and put a lot of energy into the performance.
