Schroeder 1212L – SOLD

Having had no trade offers for the right combo, I have decided to offer the kit for sale.

[s]LMII £325
Schroeder 1212L with cover £325[/s]

BOTH NOW SOLD

I am looking to sell or trade either my Schroeder 1212L[s] and LMII[/s]. A trade would have to be for a combo. This has more power than I need and I am looking for something more suitable. A 300W combo, 2 x10/12 or 1x15 would fit my current requirements.

The Schroeder is 100% sound in structure. Aesthetically, there are a few marks on the top where my practice amp’s feet have stood and three minor scratches both 1cm in length next to the handles (2 on one side, one on the other) courtesy of the clasps on my guitar case – other than that there are no issues with the tolex. I can try and get detailed pictures of the blemishes if this helps a trade. I have a properly fitting third party cover which is part of any deal. It is the 8 ohm model.

[s]The LMII is ‘as new’ without issues or blemishes. PAT tested in June 2010.
[/s]
[s]Pictures now attached (I have touched out the LMII serial no. for obvious reasons), but if you are reading this you should already have a good idea what they look like!
[/s]
Depending on the proposed trade there may need to be some cash to balance either way.

I am located midway between Nottingham and Derby, close to the M1 J25. Due to my well founded distrust of couriers a ‘half way’ meet up and exchange is strongly preferred and I would be quite happy to travel out to meet 'half way' as far as Sheffield (north), Northampton (south), Stoke (west), Grantham (east). I am currently occasionally travelling on business in the North West and South West and may be able to arrange a mutually convenient meet up.

Being nearby, I popped around last night and tried this out. Slazman kindly allowed me to compare it against my LMII/ Aguilar GS112 combination.

The immediate impression was that the Schroeder 1212L was so much more open and 'airy' than the Aggie, and it accurately reproduced the individual sounds of several different basses in spades. The cab had plenty of immediacy, presence and tons of bottom end, even when isolated from the floor. It dcertainly made its presence felt as well as heard.

A phenomonal cab sonically.

It was also an easy carry - those neos make it as light (if not lighter )than my 1 x 12 Aggie. The only reason I didnt buy it on the spot was it was perhaps just a bit too loud for the duo work I do.

For a use with a rock band with a drummer I wouldnt have hesitated

Excellent price too

I know all this ... unfortunately slazman hesitates shipping the cab over the channel :-)

So, someone from the island may grab it - until I can talk him into shipping :)
