He's on at The Robin next March, can't find out much about the band though. Any one know more, is it likely to be worth driving 70 miles there and the same back?

Drummer Frank Tontoh been around a while now, very good.
Derek Nash on sax fronts a jazz "fusion" outfit called "PROTECT THE BEAT" ( which also has Winston Blisset on bass from "Massive Attack" and Darby Todd on drums from Buddy Whittington Band and Hot Leg which is Justin Hawkins band afetr the Darkness folded).

Always remember seeing JB at the Shepherds's Buysh Empire a few years back.
He ended up headlining ,as Michael Schenker went mentally unstable again.
JB was awful! He finished the set with 'Eleanor Rigby! Hardly rock'n'roll. And I thought Clapton was boring.

Thankfully Glenn Hughes was there, and on top form
