5.
Is it the turquoise one thats been on here? Nice looking bass. Check out my CMI Rickenbacker thread for some discussion (and well informed info from Jon) on the brand. They are lovely built basses and unlike a lot of copies actually sound like a real Rick.
yeah its the turquoise one, real nice looking faker
6. cheers i'm pretty set on it, just wanted to know what to prepare for, cos its 7 pounds delivery or a train ticket to sheffield there and back which would be quite costly. cannot wait to get it.
7. its a CMI rickenbacker copy, but its had the bridge replaced with a real rick bridge, as well as real rick pickups and wiring. at the moment i play a squier jazz, but i'm looking for variation, and i felt a rickenbacker copy would be really good, love the look, love the rick sound. would i be able to get along with the rick neck and body shape after playing a squier jazz?
8. Weird question, but has anyone near suffolk got a Rickenbacker/Rickenbacker copy i could test out? i'm in the midst of possibly buying a copy and just want to make sure i get along with the body shape/neck and everything else. any help would be greatly appriciated cheers, Adam
9. gah, the only bass i have is a squier jazz, which is the opposite of what you're wanting. good luck to whoever gets this, however, what would an offer you can't refuse be?
10. This is REALLY nice, i think i like it abit too much. so no chance of a straight sale?
11. what are rickenbacker copies like? i've heard bad things. but they look so nice. cheers for the help guys, pretty sure i'm gonna go for a fender P bass of some type? however a few trips to some shops might change that.
12. i like that, quite similar in look to my current squier, which i really like. i shall see if i can get the money pretty soon, selling my jazz soon, just finalizing that. thanks.
13. i really would like this, can't raise the money soon enough though whoever buys this is getting themselves a nice bass
14. if anyone finds some good price seconds hand bass on the marketplace could you post a link??
15. i have looked at the epiphone EB3 before, but havn't found anywhere near that stocks them. so havent had the chance to try, not sure if it would feel as much of an upgrade as im after, would have to give it a try. The Fender Classic series Precisions do look rather nice also, i wouldn't mind a bass that will suit me well for the next 2-3 years through uni. thanks for all the help guys.
16. probally want to move away from jazz bass, although i do love my squier, i would just like some variety, something with a heavier, muddier sound would be nice. cheers for the help though, if i cant decide on a new bass i will defenatly check out some pickup upgrades.
17. Hey basschat. i currently own a Squier Jazz Bass "classic vibes" series but i'm wishing to upgrade. i was wondering what peoples opinions are on the best bass between £400-£500 any help would be greatly appriciated. cheers x
