1. For sale is my ORIGINAL Marshall Guv'nor. None of yer crappy reissues here, just a solid, classic, beautiful sounding original. It has been around and has the battery cover missing, but is in full working order and kicks ass! Given the slightly beaten up condition (all superficial) I am letting this go at a bargain price. Don't miss out as these are going on ebay for £130+. All I am asking is £90 NOW INCLUDING POSTAGE - I know, I am a bit nuts! Fill yer boots!!!
2. bump - going on the bay at the weekend - make me an offer!
3. And again - what a giveaway!!! It's going on ebay if it doesn't go.
4.
Fairly unlikely as its only us in the building... And that would mean you broke in to jam and then locked up as you left (unless you came to jam with my drummer, Tom). There are A LOT of rehearsal spaces and studios within 5 minutes of Hot Rox though, including the very popular Magnet Rehearsal Studios....
Yeah, we broke in; it was smart - surprised you never noticed we'd been there!
5.
Lol - Effects: Various. Simple but effective. I get my Georgle L's from Hot Rox, but then the actual shop is around the corner form my studio so I can call in. They tend to get stuff out to folks pretty quick though via mail order. I have crap loads of short lengths (say 3-6 inches) of cable - literally 30 or 40 bits so if you need a couple of short bits to play around with then let me know. I need to go a buy a couple more plugs this week though so I don't have any spare of those... Shep
Cool - I think I've been in your studio last year for a Jam with a couple of mates! I popped in to hotrox to get my M5 whilst I was there!! Small world!
6. For sale is my Gallien Krueger Backline 600, 300W (at 4 ohms) bass head. It is in full working order and has never let me down, although it is gigged and showing superficial wear and tear to prove it. I have tried to show the scratches and dinks in the photos so as not to hide anything. The front panel is in good condition, so if the unit were fitted in a rack you would barely see the evidence. I am looking for £135 posted (within the UK) PM me if interested. Decided to keep this as a back up.
7. This is mine: It's not finished yet, but I am really pleased with it so far. The 115 is homemade and I don't use it since I got the GK 212 Neo - I may add a GK 115 neo at a later date, just not sure I really need it.
8. Bought a GK 700RB II from Alan and am over the moon with it. It is in brand new condition and was packaged well enough to send to the moon, and all for a great price! Would gladly deal again. Thanks!
9. So i'm thinking it's between the discumbobulator and the 3Leaf proton (currently ahead because of size); both seem to have that wet sound I am looking for. Anyone know of something similar with a dry mix or will it have to go in a blender?
10. What is the general opinion of the emma discumbobulator? I was looking at changing my micro qtron for one, but am having second thoughts now as no-one has mentioned it here.
11.
Funnily enough I'm doing the exact same just now. I'm looking at a gigrig setup - so 5000mA to play with! I think I need about 1800 or so. Shep raised a good point in my thread - power supplies are like amps - so need some headroom. Might be worth baring that in mind.
The GigRig generator and distributers are well worth a look - I power my whole set up from my gen and have plenty to spare; even with the M5. The added bonus is the quality and the size - a compact unit with zero noise and plenty of scope for expansion. The other good thing is that they do a whole range of power adapters for the generator that will power any pedal you can think of so no need for separate supplies for those non-standard pedals. (if your reading this Daniel I will gladly take a new distributor in exchange for the plug!)
12.
Nice board - what is the signal chain/pedal list? What connectors are you using , it looks unfeasibly tidy to me!
Thanks; I mostly made my own connectors using the 'pancake' type jack plugs to maximize space. It's all powered with a gigrig generator and 2 distributors. The signal chain is: Bass>MultiComp (always on)>BOD>QTron>BassBalls>Pork Loin>BBM>Hairy Beaver (homemade Woolly Mammoth Clone)>LS-2 with Guv'nor in one loop and the M5 in the other (I use mix mode all the time and use a kill switch in each loop - black box under LS-2 - this way I can mix either effect with clean/each other or on their own). From the LS-2>Chorus>EP Booster (pretty much always on)>Malekko Ekko>VT Bass (always on)>amp. The box on the bottom right is used to switch the VP-JR between being a standard volume before the board or sending the bass direct to the board and using the VP=JR as an EXP for the M5. It is also the input to the board.
13. The latest incarnation: Don't think there's room for any more!
14. Is the loop logic still up for grabs?

16.
Mine was built by Max (you can't get the stuff in shops - just direct), but mine has a slight change to the 'loop logic' blender or the split & mix stuff he builds, made specifically for my application... Max @ SFX is amazing at making stuff that works FOR YOU.
Sounds like a man I need to make contact with; I can't resist stuff like that. I did build my own blender recently which was similar to the x-blender except it had 2 channels that could be isolated independantly, mixed with each other or mixed with dry or even run in series and then mixed with dry. The concept was great and it did work; only problem was the tone loss was too much as a result of my inexperience in pedal building skills and i've never bothered to try going back to it. One day I will pick it up again as it was a thing of beauty!
17. Price drop - £50 including postage; utter bargain!!
18.
I replaced my LS2 with a SFX mixer pedal like Shep - it does the same as your set-up oGREENYo in half the pedals.
I have already started looking at that as an alternative - it looks good; where do you buy them? I may have to wait for a windfall first but as soon as I want some extra space, that will be the way to go. Thanks.
19.
All those switching options look dead useful, thats a well thought out board! I like it.
Cheers, it's been about 2 years in the making and I finally think I've got a set up that works for me. Trouble is, you never stop needing new gear once you've started so I guess there are changes still to come! I am determined not to go any bigger than a PT2 though!
20. Just finished putting my bass pedal board together (again!) just space for 1 more...currently set to be a Way Huge Pork Loin if I can find one at a reasonable price. The little box in the bottom right is where I plug in my bass and my Ernie Ball volume. The switch changes it from a volume pedal to an expression pedal for the M5. The M5 is in loop A of the LS-2 and the Guv'nor is in the other loop; I keep it set to A+B mix all the time and can kill either channel with the double footswitch below the nano-balls. This way I can blend either effect with clean/each other or isolate either channel to get 100% of either effect - really versatile.
