I only use Ampeg these days but hear great things about Aguilar. Try them out and see what works for you. Ampeg is classic though

One thing that does swing me more towards Aguilar is their online presence, mainly on YouTube. You can find countless good quality video demos of most Aguilar heads from both them and other bassists/endorsers. Ampeg, however, seemingly aren’t on the same level, despite being one of, if not the longest tenured bass amp manufacturers out there. It’s much harder to find good quality videos of particular Ampeg heads, particularly the SVT Pro 4, the one I’m tempted by. But, there are no videos on YouTube that do it any justice, there isn’t even one from Ampeg themselves. It feels like they are at times a disservice to themselves. 

Choosing gear from watching YT vids isn't ideal.There are too many variable parameters involved. Better to try amps yourself, with your bass, played by you, in a real room.
