Many of the Swedish-made EBS amps can phantom-power an active bass with a stereo jack cable. Or the last (EBS) pedal in the chain, those support phantom-power through the jack too. I've never tried it on my HD350 or my NeoDrome, but it should just be a matter of flicking a tiny dipswitch on the back panel.

Never known anybody to use it!

  2. Due to me not running bands anymore, I'm shifting a load of my personal PA gear. All my stuff is currently in storage but will be pulling it out to photograph and update the posts. Now with Pics!

Set of drum mics. One mic (P4) developed an intermittent fault so I bought another. Will include the original as may be an easy fix for those inclined or used as spares.

Great condition (look new), complete with all the clips. Great sound, especially for the money.

Check out my other PA stuff - will probably be adding some more mics too.

Mackie DL32R + Apple Airport Extreme + Amptown Cases flightcase (highend cases, 3u, custom made to exact dimensions). Everything is neatly racked, with a single powercon and network connections on D series connectors mounted on a rear rackpanel - £1000 each.

    Manufacturer info here - https://mackie.com/en/products/mixers/dl-series/dl32r.html

I have two of the above for sale.

And also, 2x Dante cards (These are rare as), hence £500 each.

I used these as a Front of House and Monitor (IEM rig) two desk setup with the Dante connection between the two relaying the preamp of the FoH to the Monitor mixer.

Very clean condition and like all my gear, completely treated with kid gloves.

Yes, rechargeables are fine if you have a problem with buying batteries. Except they don't last as long and you have to remember when to charge them.

Depends upon on the the rechargeable battery in question, and crucially its discharge curve. Plenty of decent options, just need looking for! There's a thread on here where we talk about it... search for trustfire on the forum to find the thread.

(No the Mac is not included!)

It has been used for 2 gigs on 1 weekend. It's been flightcased in the Magma case - and of course, the unit itself is as good as new! Mint mint mint. (I only got it (on the way to a gig) because I got let down by the DJ on the way and I had to cover)

You probably know what this is if you are looking at this advert, here's the details -

    https://dbxpro.com/en/products/afs2

Spent most of its life racked and comes into its own for those troublesome venues. As good as new, like pretty much all my kit. (You can see it has no rack rash even - if you are interested in the switch too... make me an offer... have a matched pair! Note rack bag not included.)

  7. Solution to a problem that doesn't really exist?

    EMG ES-9 /18 - discontinued. Wonder why?

It's not hard wiring a box to send power down a stereo lead. But you are setting off down a road of custom. Spare cables tend to be unbalanced/mono, not stereo. So you will then be carrying around a spare cable, which is a lot more inconvenient than a battery.

Rechargeable batteries are cheap enough - and if you get one of the USB chargeable ones, they are are now a lot more hi-capacity than your standard PP3 rechargeable.

I have a whole XLR, balanced, power solution on one of my basses (powers preamp, LEDs, and balanced output).

Do I ever use the functionality of that? No, I use the standard jack and batteries? Why? Cos it's less headaches running something standard than carrying around custom cables and boxes. I've been where you are - and your thinking is not helping you out. Don't waste your time. Invest in some good batteries!

On first try out yesterday I was quite impressed with how much they have filled out the sound and the tops don't seem stressed at all even with the Roland kit.

The benefits of playing samples where all the transients have been brought under control! (And no mic bleed)

  9. Looking at the sales specs - - Output: 6x Mono Aux 1/4" TRS Jacks (linkable)

    What's the linkable thing about?

I would have thought you would have had to link on the mixer and then your remote monitor mix will just assume control of that linked pair? (Then I'm guessing additional options like pan will appear in the app?)

I don't usually suffer from GAS but these look spot on, I don't need the extra facilities but if this had been on offer when I bought My RCF mixer it would have been 'the One'. The CQ20 for me would be spot on. Metal boxes, flexibility, a functioning router, all the sockets visible, intuitive looking software and only a couple of hundred quid more expensive. I'm almost hoping my mixer breaks :)

Sell the RCF before more people clock on about the AH!
