Dazed & Confused by Led Zeppelin, it’s the middle bit on the A, the riff is easy enough but it just repeats for what seems ages and if it’s out with the drums it stands on like an extra proverbial on a boxer dog. I need my concentration on that one to be at max.
Man, I was asked to do a lock down collar of The Crunge. I didn't know the song (Im not really a LZ fan... but the timing on that, well, it took me a while to get my head around!)
On first listen I was, yeah, ok... easy enough... then I tried playing along with it!

You’re overloading the transmitter - lower the aux output.

This kinda got me interested as a low cost option... (sounds good from the demo too)... but alas, frequencies not UK legal. Posting here just for interest really. (Yes, design cues lifted straight from Shure!)

Must admit, slightly disappointed there isn't a review from you up there yet...

Good point, although they will now forever be in that quoted post...
Not if you remove the source pic. I'll remove from the quote anyway.

Ho hum. Not quite as described. You'd think they could have put a bit more effort in.

No you don't. Direct connect.
Although I'd ditch the g4m unit and use a wired connection so you can hear just how much better a direct connection using a Behringer P2 is compared to those wireless units.

Got to be a black plate!

Didn't read that you could add another in before completing... so I'd like to offer up Rutger Gunnarsson and fave bass line of his, One Of Us.

Thanks all. Much appreciated. Keep the recommendations coming

Just been through the live stream. Pretty decent that. Interested in what cameras are in use as they are pretty good for ambient light levels.

Where did you get that strap from - I know someone who would love one of those...
Googling "Levys MPD2-104" should give you a multitude of your favourite stores to choose from.

Chunks of about 60 songs tabbed out far more effectively and accurately than the rather staid Complete Scores book. (Which I love btw - just find it frustrating that it doesn't really pay attention to correct voicings and postitioning).
I have that very book too. The complete scores book was the bible to me though - gave me the foundations in bass too.

Definitely Justin Guitar. IMO he's the best guitar tutor on YT and I've checked out a lot. I suppose you also have to think how your nephew likes to learn stuff e.g. reading/writing, auditory, visual, kinesthetic. Speaking for myself, as a kid I struggled learning from Bert Weedon's and others books and only got to grips when others showed me how to do it.
100% - I think that online videos are defo the way to go now if you are going to be learning by yourself... but also want something physical for him to open on Christmas day.
This JustinGuitar stuff looks quite good... I'm also hoping that my nephew takes to it and my bro goes down the 1 on 1 tutor route if it's not just a passing fad.

The strap...
(Totally appreciate he won't recognise half the folk on there - but he can learn in time)

Hi hive...
I'm looking for a guitar book for my 8 year nephew who is getting his first acoustic guitar for Christmas. I've found him a funky as strap... and now looking for a book - but have absolutely no idea what I should be getting.
I learned guitar through the full scores Beatles white book... however I don't think that will work for him as my bro has not introduced him to the delights of The Beatles. My nephew is more a die hard Ed Sheeran fan anyway... hence the acoustic want over an electric.
So... any recommendations? Many thanks in advance....

£1150 is very cheap for this...
And yet nobody cares!

So I believe mate. His tech told me it was expensive!
Just a bit. We're talking at least a couple of thousand pounds a channel. Interesting choice of frequencies though (if you know, you know)

Kemper users... I am getting no output from the 1/4" main outputs, any obvious rookie mistakes?
I am getting output from the monitor and direct out sends and I've checked using the output soft button that the volumes are linked and display showing as being up.
Off to post on the Kemper site as well.
Make sure you routing is set up to go out through the main outputs. (configured in system if my memory serves me correct - I'm not with my Kemper - press output button, then it appears on screen (Main output?) and twiddle the knob which lines up with it).

First 'revelation' for me was knocking the cab sim off many of the sounds improved it massively! With cab engaged many of the stock bass tones seemed compressed to heck or they sounded like I was listening to them through a wooly blanket. I selected a couple of 'standard' captures (Tech Amp among them) from Tech 21, Eden etc, though it took some getting used to the fact they were all labelled with an oblique name to ensure no copyright issues. After loading those onto profiles I went in and tweaked EQ/drive a little but tbh if I didn't like the core sound I passed over it.
Just getting my head around the way to use it live, luckily I only use a couple of core sounds and I put effects on only a couple of songs... which leads me to wonder if it is overkill having a Kemper but it seems to be doing what I want.
Kemper for bass, I always prefer using mic pres. That's where I think basses can really be made to sing. Like you, I don't really like cab models for basses.

I like it. Theyve needed something like this in their line up for some time!
