I have a few compressors including the Xotic. Enough controls for me (always on and the odd bit if twiddling but not much really). I love the fact it’s analogue and reasonably simple. It squishes nicely and at low and mid settings no real issue with noise. At high if you adjust the blend control suitably noise is reduced to an acceptable level. I also have a Spectracomp that I like as well.

… think it keeps your finger style technique more even as it prevents you from digging in too much, maybe 🤔

Hey all, Just bought a pedal from Laurence. It was well packaged, very good price, as described and posted quickly using Special Delivery. All top stuff so would definitely deal with again, Peace 👍🏼

Version final.1...
Changed out the TC HOF2 for the MERIS mercury 7. The HOF was really great and I enjoyed it more than my h9, walrus audio etc but the MERIS imo is just another level.
I don't really stack much, but order is:
Origin effects Cali76 bass Compressor always on into the G3
Korg pitchblack Tuner
Dunwich Wizard fuzz
Does it Doom Walpurgis
Parapedal Parachute wah
Strymon volante
MERIS mercury 7
Dunlop volume pedal (after G3 ATM)
… could I please ask what is the benefit of the G3?

Cog Effects Knightfall 66 is a good 2 channel overdrive if you can source one.

… well it does depend on what style of Worship the church tends to do. Currently we play a rock/folk sort of vibe, a bit of a loose generalisation I know. I just use a Nano normally with a Radial Instrument switcher, tuner, Spectracomp and finally a Exciter Pre-amp pedal/DI. We use IEMs so the mix is always decent. I once took a bigger board with an Octave, delay, overdrive etc on it and tbh I was surprised how well using the effects worked, but It is normally fairly keep out of the way type of stuff as the focus is on Worship, not getting the dance floor full he he. Saying all that I used to play at a much larger church where the vibe was a really great mix of Gospel-RnB-Funk, but I was a ‘no-effects’ kind of chap then ha ha!! Good question though Thunderbird 👍🏼

Bas bought a switch pedal off me, waited patiently until I was Covid free and an easy deal was done. Top comms and a genuinely good BC’er. Pleasure doing business with you matey 😁

… so I’m going to consolidate my many boards into a ‘Home only’ board for looping stuff etc and a ‘live board’ each for church and then Funk/Motown stuff. Just picked up a used Pedaltrain JR Max for a great price also 👍🏼.
My current crop:
… the new board:
… and what it’ll hopefully look like with one more pedal purchase (Fredric Effects BugCrusher at some point):

What, no squishy-ness to had from the Origin CB76 ?
… err and that one also 😁

Over the lockdowns I ended up collecting 5 compressors 😁(Markbass Compressore, Origin Effects CB, TC Electronic Spectracomp, Xotic SP and the Seymour Duncan Studio Bass).
The easiest to get super squishy quickly is the previously mentioned Xotic, however IIRC the Markbass can get there easily also. Oh and the Spectracomp will no doubt be able to get there with either the correct tone print or a bit of editing 😁).- 1

… used to have a Stomp but traded it for an backup amp. One of the reasons was I thought in a few years who is going to want to buy ‘old tech’ when newer multi fx would be out then. So I’ve stuck with analogue stuff (mostly) and ended up with 6 boards, woops 😳😁😎. I may consolidate them onto a much larger one for home use and a smaller ‘I actually need that pedal’ gigging board. We’ll see 👍🏼.

... the Xotic SP Compressor can get pretty squishy if you want it to also 👍.

... I've a BB" and use both a Genz Benz Streamliner 900 or Shuttlemax 12.2 through it. Out of the two I prefer the Streamliner, but they both perform well.

… I tend to favour single use/function pedals if I can get away with it myself due to this sort of thing.

Cioks also make a 4 way extender (https://cioks.com/products/cioks-4/) that can be powered off a DC7, however it can also be run off it’s own PSU or via it’s USB C input with an external battery/power pack. Switchable voltages for each isolated output in a very neat and small package. I use the Cioks DC7 and once had that under a Nano with no issues.

…. Nige answered a call for a Ditto Looper of sorts, he had two that I ended up buying. All clear, quick comms and pedals both arrived safely with good packaging 👍🏼. Recommend BCer on all counts, cheers.
