… I’ve got one at home sitting on the pedal shelf. I’ll have a look later for you, I suppose it would depend on how much gain you have on the low and high settings? Presumably the effect bypassed would be the same as using the low and high gains fully off?

I have them both comfortably, both mounted with Cioks Grips on a Jr Max, but they also fit on my Classic 1 as long as you are careful with the placement (need to allow for the power lead, which needs a bit more room). I wouldn't want to use them both together underneath anything 22", as it'll get a bit cramped when you have cables connected to both sides of both units.
I previously used GigRig, which I also liked, but I have a couple of cable failures and as I swap my board about a lot, I found I kept needing to buy more cables as I always wanted them at the perfect length. Cioks performance was just as good, but way less hassle. I also have a small PT Nano that I use with my Moog synth and that is powered by a Cioks SOL, which is just as good. I can't imagine ever needing another power supply.… what Moog do you have out of curiosity? Also what sort of effects do you use with it? I’ve a Moog Subsequent 25 (and a Bass Station 2) and not sure what kind of board to build for them? I know it’ll be music dependant, but just to point me in the right direction lol!

Appreciate the explanation. I was thinking of getting a compressor anyway. The cali compressor is pricey lol. There are two versions v1 and v2. Would both versions achieve the same thing?
down the rabbit hole to look for different warm compressors and demos.
Hey, just seen the reply.
The Cali 76 comps are not as warm as other comps. If warmth is what you are after, rather than light drive etc then an optical comp is what I’d go for instead. They, by their nature (design) have a slower response and I find fatten up your bass tone in a very musical way. A favourite of mine is the Lusithand Alma comp (now on their Mk3 variant, all versions are great). You could go down the route of an optical comp and a light drive pedal to give a bit of hair if needed?
As far as I can tell, the Origin Effects 76 bass comps are clearer sounding and know for being able to be very quick acting. If you wanted a bit of drive (when pushed) from one of those, the V1 run at 9V would be the one to go for.
As another option, the Origin Effects DCX Bass is a lovely pedal for EQ and drive of varying amounts, but a higher cost compared to eg full sized Spark Booster.

… some comps can distort in a nice way when pushed hard eg the V1 Origin Effects Cali 76 Compact Bass can distort when pushed in a way that some people like (and also add some compression), the Markbass Compressore is a valve based compressor, and when the gain on that is maxed it does lead to some nice light overdrive (with compression again lol). So you wouldn’t need a comp if you went down that route.

Yeah, I wanted the smaller size as when I plan to play it (at church) it’ll be in combo with electric bass, so I didn’t want to lug loads of extra stuff about. Also the price I got it for was pretty good tbh 👍🏻.
The Grandmother was on my possible list due to the larger keybed, but I thought presets would come in very useful.
Lastly reading the Moog forums, there seemed to be a few problems that could occur, so buying new with an extended warranty (don’t normally get those) seemed to be prudent!
ps. I’ve also just pulled the trigger on a Novation BSII, and trying to find a DSI Mopho SE ha ha. I seem to have a Monosynth mania at the moment, no need for any polyphonicness for me 🤣

Hey all, just purchased a strap from Abd I’ve been wanting to try for ages. Well packaged, good comms and great price. So all good and I’d happily deal with again, thank you very much. Peace.

Man, that is a great price Paddy! I‘m tempted to buy it back lol (but I won’t as I don’t need two again).
Lovely pieces of gear, with the Aux in and headphone out it can also be a great portable practice solution if powered via a battery bank 👍🏻.
GLWTS.

... one piece of advice I have been given is don't have an excess of blade showing, ie. have the top and bottom guides appropriately adjusted height wise. This also reduces the risk of injury if/when a blade snaps as more should be guarded.

… I think so bud. Great idea tbh.

… if you have a Cioks DC7 you could try one of the Crux unit add-ons?

hey Chadu, how do you find the Black Panel DI out sound? Does the analogue cab sim complement your other pedals further up the chain? -
… spend a boat load of money!!
You could use a pedal switcher type pedal like. Gigrig G3S, then have all your preferred individual effects (after you’ve bought loads finding those gems you prefer), use expensive patch cables for the switcher system (or at least way more than you’d anticipate), power it all with a nice isolated PSU, but you’ll most likely need at least 2 of them (lots of pedals = lots of power!), then you’ll have to see if the pedals play nicely together, and if they do then you’re onto a winner. If you’re pedals are fancy they may take Midi control, but that’s not something I know about to comment.
Or buy a modern multi fx and be done with all the above 😆.
However I don’t have a G3S, but have enough of everything else mentioned in the first paragraph lol!!
Currently I’m favouring small (ie Pedal Train Nano sized boards) but that could all change in the future!
Don’t think I’ve really answered the OP but had a brain dump instead 🤣

… just tried it and when all controls are off. ie counter clockwise (either with the passive or active mode engaged) it’s pretty much unity gain between bypass and on.
