Would prefer collection or could meet locally in the Staffordshire area.

Cash on collection, or bank transfer accepted.

    Or own courier arrangement.

  2. Purchased this recently from a fellow BC'er, but need to move it on as i have a second Spector GAS.

No issues with this bass whatsoever, comes with hard Fender case and case candy.

Any try out welcome, can arrange local pick up in the Staffordshire area.

Just looking for a return on what i paid for her, £550 delivered.....now here's the bumph..

American built Fender P-bass serial number Z6114622 Black on black with maple neck....

This bass guitar was made at the Fender Corona plant in California USA, in the year(s): 2006-2007.

Standard pick up replaced by previous owner. Seymour Duncan quarter pounder split P-bass pick up. ( Still gives that unmistakable P-bass tone).

The Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarter-Pound pickup for P-Bass provides maximum output and an extended frequency range. 1/4-inch diameter pole pieces expand the magnetic field and extend the frequency range from lows to highs for a fat, full, punchy tone with present mids. Seymourized design balances the coils against the magnets for great sustain and harmonics. 2-coils are wired as humbuckers to eliminate 50hz hum. The SPB-3 is a direct P-Bass replacement.

    Comes with original Fender hardcase
    Rolled fingerboard edges
    High Mass Bridge
String through body or through bridge
    Lighter tuner keys
Flat pole pieces on the pickups.

Slight dink in top horn, hardly noticeable.

Great bass to play and great sound to match....

    Thanks for looking..

  3. Looking at getting myself a T-bird, didn't really want to spend all that cash straight off on a Gibbo and realize it's not for me, so i was wondering what these Tokai fellers are all about!?

Anyone got one or owned one that could give me a bit of a feeler about em'??

Any info would be greatly appreciated...

    Thank you very glad...

  4. Dunlop Formula No 65 to clean the bodies on my Spector, Fender and Stingray...( great product!)

Dr Stringfellow Lem-oil on the rosewood fretboard of my Spector (apparently Lem-oil should only be used on rosewood).

Then a smidge of Birchwood Casey gun oil for the maple boards on tuthers...

  5. I've just been trying different string gauges and tweaking the trussrod all afternoon, and i just cant get the correct action that i feel comfortable with!

Absolutely gutted but it's gonna' have to go...it just doesn't give me that aaaaahhhh feeling when playing it. :)

    Fleabay here i come!....

  6. Thanks for the reply's guy's, much appreciated...

I've checked out the Lakland vid, and the MM website, i found that i can only set it upto the MM standard factory set up.

If it goes a smidge lower then it does get buzzy and rattley....although i can live with the rattle, the buzzing is very pronounced through my rig.

I think i need go away and set it up with a set of 45-100 gauge and re-adjust the neck to suit...(just for peice of mind regarding any possible issues with the neck....

Monz...i did try 65-130, and this did slightly smooth it out a tadge, but the string height was still quite high for my liking.

I've loved these bases ever since i was a nipper, and i would hate to think i can't acheive the set up i require from it... :)

Keep your eyes open on the for sale section..

  7. Ok, got myself a 1995 EB MM, black with maple neck...

Struggling with the action at the mo' and a few rattles and buzzes...if i go any lower than the string heights stated below it gets horrible

I realize there's my right hand playing style to take into account also...this can be quite vigorous so to speak

I tune B,E,A,D with a string gauge of 50-115 heavy..

The measurements on the 12th fret, E /B to underside of string, is around 2.8mm

    A (E) string 12th fret 2.2mm.

    D (A) string 12th fret 2.0mm

    G (D) string 12th fret 2.0mm

Is this a decent action set up for a MM or am i being to picky??

I usually play a Spector Euro 5 LX and the action sits at least 0.2mm lower than the MM... :)

I play with a pick by the way....there i said it lol!

  8. Hi Folks,

Just putting out the feelers at the mo'...

But edging to a possible trade on my Czech built Spector...

Couple of tiny little nicks in the laquer on the outer edge of body, hardly noticible (will post pics later)...rest of bass is in show room condition.

    Fantastic playabilty and great tone....

Please click on link for exact same bass...
