Did I read that right? Fall Out Boy and brilliant album in the same sentence? I hate Fall Out Boy with a passion, and seeing the way Download festival has been going, they will probably headline it soon enough, and if its next year, Im sure as hell not going for my 15th

This coming from someone who likes Airbourne? S'pose I did listen to some bollocks when I was 14 to be fair, time is on your side...
Also, Download w/Fall Out Boy > not going to Download at all. Fact. -
Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High. Sodding brilliant album.

Excellent taste, sir. -
Bump, anybody?
I think I've heard him say it is because John Paul Jones is his idol, so always wanted to play a Fender Jazz. Went he played on the The Mars Volta album De-Loused in the Comatorium, it sounds like he was using the Jazz on that. He sounded pretty kick ass... but with Chilis, it just doesn't cut the way the Stingray or Modulus Flea can. It is his sig sound with the band.
I think he used a Precision that Omar Rodriguez-Lopez gave/lent him ond De-Loused. Having seen RHCP twice in the last few years I have to agree that nothing cuts through like the Modulus live, it'll be interesting to see what Fender come up with if he really is getting a deal with them. -
Well, although I would have accepted full payment by way of epic quantities of Stella, I've had a more practical offer, so this is now sold pending the usual.

...And replied.

Back to the top after a couple of months - feel free to make me an offer.

As requested, a couple of pics of the back (showing a bit of buckle rash) and one of the only other ding on the bass:

A few photos:

For a straight sale I'd be looking for about £350. Should have some photos should up tomorrow.

As the title suggests, just seeing if there's any interest in my Corvette, for the simple reason that it just isn't getting played and is simply taking up space. I bought it brand new in January last year, although IIRC the serial number dates it to November 2006. All in fully working order, just seems silly having it lying around the house when it could be being played. If you're interested, I'll entertain all offers at the moment - the worst I can do is say no, so let me know what you've got (cash, other instruments, lager etc).
Photos are available on request, as I can't upload them right now but should be able to over the next couple of days.
Thanks for looking,
Joe. -
I think it depends on what he's selling at the time.
Nice bass btw, nothing says "Eighties" like a Kubicki. -
Out of that list I'd recommend Ashdown, although I'd be more inclined to go for the 2x10 combo rather than the 1x15. I'm not a big Trace fan, but if you like the tone that looks like a pretty good deal to me.

Are you after an amp just for practicing on your own, or would you be using it in a band context as well?
-
Don't suppose you'd be interested in a trade for a Warwick Corvette...?
Indeed it is, have you seen them live? can you believe the amount of equipment?
Yeah, first time I saw them was about 5 years ago, they're about my age and from the same town as me so I used to see them week in, week out. They've always had stacks of gear, even when they were kids. Nice enough bunch of guys, but that second van did turn up more often than not -
We played with a band once that had 2 guitarists they had 8 4x12's 2 TSL100's each and an array of vintage gibsons.
We hadv a running joke that they were waiting for the second much bigger van that contaned there ego's along with a life size gold statue of the band.
This is one of them at a pub gig.
Well I never, surely that can't be Liam from "bodybuilding metal" band Angst? Haven't seen them in ages, that picture just reminded me why.
I've only ever taken a spare when both my basses were tuned the same, one active, one passive, and I couldn't find a spare 9v battery. Apart from that I've always risked it. -
And again...
-
...aaaaand back again.

Another vote for the ATK. Less than £350 for a new one, leaving a bit of cash to go towards a rig upgrade as well (which, I agree, is worth checking out before looking at new basses).

If it's on a Sunday I'm almost definitely in. The Harlequin sounds like a brilliant idea as well, seeing as it's only a 20-minute train journey from here. That'd save me having to drive and missing out on the bar
How do I get this tone

According to an interview from a while back, he uses an Ampeg SVT Classic and Boss ODB3. I agree with Wayne though
