Last one I bought (well, sort of) was the new Munroe Effect EP, 'You Are Goldmouth'. Keep meaning to pick up the new Bloc Party album, anyone got it? I liked what I heard of it on the Channel 4 show they did.

58% Victor Wooten, meaning the remaining 91% is a combination of the other four. I'm also equal parts John Myung and Pete Wentz.
-
I'm back in Crawley this weekend so I might have to pop down for this. Who else is in the final?

He mentioned in an interview in the latest BGM that he was looking to integrate his Rickenbackers into the live show but they weren't cutting it, looks like they've sorted any problems out now. Not good for the Ric GAS, though

Jeff Caxide - Isis/Red Sparowes
Stuart Zender - Jamiroquai/Mark Ronson
Ben Kenney - Incubus -
Mogwai @ Hammersmith Apollo tomorrow. Very, VERY excited

Pretty much anything that Brian Cook has played on - These Arms Are Snakes (in particular the new album, 'Tail Swallower and Dove'), the latest Russian Circles album 'Station', 'We Are the Romans' by Botch and 'Time & Withering' by Mouth of the Architect are all brilliant. Jeff Caxide from Isis is another great bass player as well, as is Troy Sanders of Mastodon, I'd recommend anything by either of those two bands. Also, +1 for The Mars Volta, 'Day of the Baphomets' is probably their standout track bass-wise.

Arse, I'd have had that if I'd known about it! £112 is ridiculous considering the SRX750, which is very similar, goes for about 600 quid brand new.

I know Ashdown amps are a bit Marmite, but this is a proper bargain (less than what I paid for mine, and I thought I got a good deal!). Have a bump on me.

Again, I didn't know Steve, but it's never good to hear news like this. Steve would have been the same age as my dad - pretty unbelievable when I think about it like that as it really is such a young age to go. RIP Steve, and my deepest condolences to your family.

I've sold two basses and bought my entire rig all on this site, and I haven't had a single problem with any of the deals. Those members that I've met in person have been top blokes, and I'm pretty sure that those I only spoke to via email were as well.
In other words: Basschat 1, eBay nil. -
I would have filled my pants if I'd been in the middle of a Jam song only to find that two of them were standing there watching. Thanks for the heads-up on the Hammersmith gig as well.
Slightly OT, but how are the Water Rats Studios? I've been looking at local rehearsal rooms and the info on their website looks promising, but it'd be interesting to hear from someone who has actually used them. Although I guess if they're good enough for the Jam, they'll be good enough for a rank amateur like me -
Four - guitar, bass, drums, vocals.

I've not heard it yet, didn't even realise it was out. Although I really liked the last album, so it'll be interesting to hear what's different about this one. Really, really can't wait to see them in December.
The was a guy over on Talkbass, who is from this side of the pond, who does solo bass stuff. I seem to remember a picture of him playing a Warwick Vampyre in a shopping centre.
I think he's a member on here as well, I remember reading about it/seeing the photos. I'll see if I can find the thread... -
If the "Super BB" comes in the same colour as the Billy Sheehan model, with the same shape, layout and bound maple fingerboard as LoMenzo's, I know where this year's student loan is going...
-
I missed Rose Kemp when she (you?) played with Oceansize in London last year, thanks to whatever idiot decided it'd be good to have gigs inside a shopping centre, so I may very well be at the Guildford date (if only to see the Rickenblacker in the flesh).

Well, I was joking, but I'd say something by Clutch. Anything by Clutch, actually.

According to an interview from a while back, he uses an Ampeg SVT Classic and Boss ODB3. I agree with Wayne though
What CDs have you bought lately?

Yeah, I agree with you on that. Saw them on Monday as well, if you think the albums are good just wait util you see them live, absolutely blinding.
