1. Theses are a fantastic pair of basses right up there with best. They almost play themselves, I would quite happily sell a few of the wives organs to get them.
 2. Traded with Chris for 57 RI Strat. Pending......
 3. Hi to all, I joined Basschat quite some ago and never got round to introducing myself. Well it is now time to put that right.. I first picked up a bass in the late 70s and was soon playing in a school/college band. I can remember my first bass was a red Vox short scale thing that eventually gave up the ghost and my Dad bought me an Eros Jazz Copy which I painted black with electric blue stripe (I think we all did something like that). This bass was lent to friend whilst I was in Germany who then sold the bass and my very much missed Selmer 50 Treble & Bass. Needless to say he is not a friend any longer. Fast forward 30 years I got a Precision Deluxe from a mate and I started playing again (albeit very badly) I also bought a Telecaster so I could annoy the neighbours on all levels. Went through a phase of intense buying and now have some really nice guitars both bass and lead plus more pedals than is really healthy. What I really need now is talent. Well that's me fast approaching 48, then 49 and then does it go higher...? And if anyone is interested why Bouvier well its nothing to do with the Simpsons or The Kennedies it was Lennox my Bouvier Des Flanders he looked like a Rottweiller with Dreadlocks or Tina Turner on a bad hair day. 4. Cheers Mick you are right the bass does indeed look far better in the flesh. PMs answered and Trades list amended.
 5. On HOLD for Trade. 1969 Fender Precision Candy Apple Red with Maple Neck and Fretboard. This P Bass has an "A" Jazz profile neck not like the usual chunky P Bass neck. The Bass is original except for the fantastic body refinish by John Elliott at Bravewood Guitars. The bass was originally Candy Apple Red but had been overpainted and the paint looked flat and uneven. The heel of the neck was repaired by John at the same time as the body was refinished. Before and After pictures of the repair. It was decided to leave the finish on the neck original. The Neck Plate, Tuners, Bridge, Pick Guard (Mother of Toilet Seat on Reverse), Thumb Rest, Pots, Pickups and Both Pickup Covers are all original to the Bass. Overall a fantastic Bass fitted with new Flatwounds sounds and looks superb. The quality of relicing is second to none. Looking to trade for either:

Gibson 58 - 59 - 335 VOS, 1960s SG Junior
Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster - Esquire - Nocaster
PRS Custom 22
Klon Centaur Overdrive - Pete Cornish SS2 or SS3 - Analogman KOT - Lovetone Big Cheese
Matchless Avalon or Chieftain
A good quality six stringer or 4 bass plus cash. 7. All PMs replied. A couple of very interesting trades on offer
 8. Bump for revised trade list. After a good lead guitar, Fender, Gibson, Music Man, PRS, Bravewood, WHY Etc..........
 9. The wear is natural and not reliced. The dings and dents on the back are there because I am probably the most cack handed and clumsy person after Inspector Clouseau. The back of the neck is beautifully smooth and really nice to play.
 10. I am fairly sure the Bass is a late 90s one the neck plate serial number is V028794. The Precision is a 1969 Candy Apple Red with a rare A profile neck and is not for sale at present though........
 11. Traded - Gone. Fender USA 62 Reissue Jazz Bass Stack Knob. Sunburst. The bass is set up with Flat Wounds and sounds superb. A nice low even action with no dead spots or buzzes. The Bass does have marks and dings/dents to the rear and wear to the front. The neck is really smooth and has a really nice smooth feel, no stickiness. Reverse Tuners. The Bass is complete with both Bridge and Neck Pickup Covers and a Fender Case which has seen better days but still does the job, the catches and hinges work perfectly.

 13. Hi, Regarding your Fender Bassman. I have a Fender 1962 Reissue Jazz (USA). The bass is exceptional condition. With minor buckle rash to the back and wear to the front. I can send pictures. I would be interested in a trade with a cash adjustment my way. Cheers Patrick.
