1. Guys, I know they do not look like JE knobs, I never said they did!! They fit a JE preamp perfectly therefore I used the JE connection for reference - as a guide! The picture of the knobs is perfectly clear, they fit 6mm shafts, they're solid metal and they're black!
2. My reference to JE knobs is for reference only. These are not JE knobs and do not look the same but will fit the same. I have just sold a set of JE knobs and the only difference was the lack of a white position marker and the etching is more pronounced on these knobs. These were bought for a bass with a JE preamp and when tried fitted beautifully.
3. I have 3 x Single and 1 X Stacked black metal control knobs. These are brand new and have been sitting in their packet for about three months. They fit 6mm shafts and - for guidance only - are the same spec to John East control knobs. I'm asking £15 including postage.
4. These are brand new John East control knobs in black. I bought them a couple of weeks ago for a project but things have changed so the knobs are no longer required. The details are: LOWER KNOB •Diameter: 20.0mm •Height: 11.5mm •For Shaft Diameter: 8.0mm UPPER KNOB •Diameter: 15.0mm •Height: 12.0mm •For Shaft Diameter: 6.0mm SINGLE KNOB •Diameter: 17.5mm •Height: 15.0mm •For Shaft Diameter: 6.0mm If you go to http://www.east-uk.com/ search under products for knobs and you'll see the pictures and technical stuff. The cost to me was £6.44 for the singles and £9.60 for the stacked: £38.52 in total. I will sell them for £25 including postage.
5. Final price drop to £895. At this price the bass is an absolute bargain.
6. This is priced to go folks. It's still under warranty, boxed and complaining about being neglected ;o)
7. For those interested, here's the full spec from Genz Benz: http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid...=610&cid=95 Hope that helps.
8. Allo again! Tis a superb piece of kit for someone...
9. The combo - 1 x 10" & tweeter - produces 175w @ 8ohms and 300w @ 4ohms. Thanks.
10. Very heavy questions now - 'Why am I here?' 'Where am I going?' I'd be most appreciative for any relevant answers to the Combo's searching questions...
11. Cheery thanks, John. The Skjold is indeed a Custom '92 - title amended ;o))
12. The bass weighs approximately 8.3lbs. I haven't any scales but comparing it to my Sei, which is 8.5lbs, I'd say the Skjold is slightly lighter. The balance is superb, smooth, slim neck and a delight to play!
13. OK. Final price drop for anyone interested. I'll throw in a very nice Ritter gig bag and I'll even give it a polish prior to posting/collection ;o)) £945 is a bargain for such a great piece of bass!
14. OK. One last try - a final price of £515 for a brand new combo, still in its box with all the original documents etc.
15. Rainy morning bump and a small price reduction to £525 - that's a bargain!
16. Wednesday morning at 9 am and the rain begins... BuMp
17. Up once more and then time for bed...
18. I recently purchased a Genz Benz Shuttle 3. It has a great sound for such a small combo, it's light, easy to carry around, pack into the back of your car and has all the sound variations you could want from an excellent EQ. Unfortunately, the original combo developed a slight fault, which was quickly put right but, having only just purchased the combo, the distributors very kindly sent me out a brand new replacement rather than have me wait for the repair to the original combo. The only reason I'm putting this brand new unused combo up for sale is that I use Markbass as my main rig. When it comes to smaller gigs I started to use the original combo, which although loud enough and having all the EQ necessary, I found that I was changing the settings on my basses, altering my FX rack just to get the right sounds from the Genz. Then on larger gigs having to do all the alterations prior to the gig. So, I'm considering changing my rig and just using Markbass stuff. That means someone will get a spanking new Genz combo with a full two year guarantee, still packed in its original box, manuals etc for a stunning low price. Here's what Genz Benz say about the Shuttle: "Our most popular product - this combo defies belief, deep low end, tight mids and clear highs. Perfect for electric bass and ideal for upright and acoustic bass (the parametric mid-range is great for reducing feedback). Add another 8Ω cab for a full range 300W rig, we can also supply a custom made gig bag with shoulder strap for easy transport. Serious bass rigs have never been this portable! You can plug your ipod/cd player into the amplifier and play along through the cabinet or use headphones for silent rehearsal." The combo was bought from the Bass Gallery in October 2010 for £795. Shop around and you can get it for £700. I'm asking £515 plus postage or collection. Bargain ...
19. Price reduced to £945. This is an awful lot of bass for the money. It plays like a dream with one on the slimmest necks I've ever come across (38mm). I really would love this to go to a good home as it deserves to be out there - seen and heard by all ;o)) Don't forget, I might consider a trade but also may consider a very near offer.
20. SlEePy SuNday morning boomp ...
21. Vic bought my Shuker Fretless 6. A great guy to do business with. Prompt payment and helpful. Very highly recommended. Buy/trade with absolute confidence.
