1.
You can get both, slanted and flat. Email Oreste at Westside [email protected]. He's a great guy but be prepared to take out a second mortgage. C
+1 for Oreste, he is a top guy. I was quoted £250 for a M6 head case, although it looked very cool, I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much. I got a nice SKB in the end.
2. Have you tried emailing your local Mesa distribution centre? They got me a price etc for a head case for my M6. cheers thebassman
3. That was a stunning deal for you, nice one.
4. Seems like a really good price, so if you have the funds and the space then why not. I can't see you would need both though, as you can use the 6x10 where you need the full volume. Cheers Thebassman
5. I use a powerhouse 2x12 with my M6, although it is the 4ohm version, and I have used it for outdoor gigs with no pa support. It sounds huge, even with gain on about 6 and master on about 4 or 5. Cheers Thebassman
6. Thanks Dave, I will bare that in mind. I have used the new amps DI straight to my headphone monitor and it sounds good, so I'm sorted at the moment. It's weird theamp DI on my older Mesa Fathom had a lot of hiss, but since Mesa Boogie replaced it with a new M6 all is good. Cheers Thebassman
7. Thanks for the reply. I've got a big charity gig at the weekend, so better sort something out. Cheers Thebassman
8. I thought that was the case, looks i will be sending Dave OBBM an email cheers thebassman
9. HI I have a rack mounted DI, and would like to know if i can plug my Bass into this with a standard guitar lead, then take a short speaker lead out from this to my amp input. I only ask as i have one lying around and would need to buy a new short patch lead if not. cheers thebassman
10.
I think Strings Direct sell singles. Try there.

http://www.stringsdi...singles_070_090_
Thanks guys Just order a couple of seperates, good price too with free delivery. cheers thebassman
11. Hi After having a sort out i remembered a few years back of snapping A strings (Ernie ball slinkys 0.080"). That leaves me with 2 sets of Ernie Ball Slinky 5's with the A strings missing. I had a good look around but couldn't find anywhere selling them separatley, seems a waste to just throw away the other 4 in both sets as there are fairly expensive. Any ideas anyone? cheers thebassman
12. Thanks guys, Dave, obbm, has sorted me out. Cheers Thebassman
13. Hi I'm looking for a decent quality set of patch leads to add a rack mount multi effects unit into my effects loop on my bass head. The manual says to use a good quality shielded cable, as short as possible to reduce signal loss. Any recommendations? I am thinking a custom one as the ideal type would be 1/4" jack straight to right angle 1/4" jack. Cheers thebassman
14. Got any pics? What's the condition? Does it come with power supply? Cheers Thebassman
15.
Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a new bass amp. At present i have a love hate relationship with my Mesa Boogie M-Pulse (im selling it btw) but i do love my Ampeg 410HLF. So i thought that rather than asking the obvious "what amp should i buy?" type question, i thought instead id ask "What 5 Amps should i try before anything else" To help clarify the requirements, at present i only play in a covers band so rock, soul and blues genres. But i hope to find another metal band to start gigging with again soon. Budget wise lets set the max at a nice £1000. The two that have caught my eye is the Genz Benz Streamliner and the Mesa Boogie M6 (though slightly above my budget). Is there any other makes i really should check out before parting with any cash?
I have had a Mesa M6 for a couple of years so can answer any questions relating to that. What's the Love/ Hate issue with the Mpulse? cheers thebassman
16.
Don't know if I'm just looking back on things favourably but I feel I got a better tone out of my old Mesa Big Block 750 over my 400. Is this absolute sacrilege?
Not at all. I owned a 400+ for years with a Mesa 4x10 and loved it at the time. I then sold it and got a Mesa M6 and Mesa 2x12 cab and I have never looked back. The tone is great and very versatile. I have owned quite a few amps but never had one that produces such an overall full tone, the bass, mids and highs are all clearly heard in the mix. People comment that the bass sounds really "musical" and not just a muddy underlying rumble. Sorry if I sound like a Mesa salesman, I can assure you I am not, just a very happy bassist. Cheers Thebassman
17. I will definately be buying a case with moulded handles in the future. As Happy jack said, putting the butterfly latches on the body was a bad design idea. Not only do they rattle when sat on top of my cab, the lid falls off when you undo the latches....... just doesn't make any sense. You live and learn, thankfully Thomann have a no hassle returns policy. cheers thebassman
18. Hi, nice looking t bird. Has it got the neck dive issue? Cheers Thebassman
19. Hi, what's your location? Is there much of a neck dive on this model? Looks great btw Cheers Thebassman
20. Hi Guys I thought i would share my recent experiences with these cases. I bought a Gator GR-2S, 2 U rack case to house my Mesa Boogie M6 head. I only use my amp maybe once or twice a week, depending on gigs. The 1st case i used for approx. 2 months and had to return it as one of the butterfly latches kept undoing. I would load it into the car and by the time i arrived at my destination the lid had fallen off. The 2nd one lasted less than a month. I lifted it out of the car and one of the handles fell off. Luckily i saved it before it hit the floor. I bought these cases from Thomann and, being a good company, they replace or refund without any hassle. I now refuse to use this product anymore, i shall be looking at SKB in the future. cheers thebassman
21. That's really nice. Where are you based?
22. Offer withdrawn, didn't realise seller was outside of the UK. cheers thebassman
23. Hi Norwood-1 Have you still got the receipt, box, manuals and stuff??
these can be repaired throough fender GBI but it'll cost £273 including fitting. Thats for a full power section replacement with the official GB parts.
I double checked this with my local service centre and they confirmed approx. £275-300. Based on this, i will offer you £200 delivered, i guess shipping will only be about a tenner as its pretty small and light. cheers thebassman
