  1. Fender Jazz 60th Anniversary Limited Edition.

This version of the American Series features USA Vintage pickups, it has the S1 switching system, so you can get the great Precision thump out of it. A graphite reinforced modern "C"-shape maple neck, rosewood 20 fret fingerboard with rolled edges, medium jumbo frets, 9.5" fingerboard radius. A deluxe silver G&G case with embroidered logo inside, stamped 60th Anniversary neckplate, jewelled headstock, and emblem on the rear of the headstock. Fender paid far more attention to detail and sound on this model. It's beautifully made, allegedly by the Custom Shop guys at half the price of CS. All the case candy bits are still here too!

No dings, marks or scratches, it's in great condition!

    Super bargain now at £800

No trades unless you have a Ampeg Skunkworks you want rid of.

  2. So I found the guy Sean in Kent who I sold mine to.

He sold it on in the summer of 2012 to a guy near Birmingham.

Has anyone around that area seen a Skunkworks head? Mine was no 236. There's so few of them about it would stand out like a sore thumb to any bass nerd!

  3. It is, in that it was built in the USA rather than the MTI era ones around that time, and it was built to the spec of the original 70's SVT amps with a slightly different pre-amp stage. Its a very different sound to the newer far east built SVT CL and 450. The closest to that sound available now is the SVT-VR which is pretty close to the old 70s blue line SVT.

I've definitely seen a Jazz bodied Sandberg with a reverse P & MM PU config before, I might have saved the pic of it as I was looking into it myself before I settled on a standard Jazz type.

I'll post it if I find it!

I'd like to see if it if you find it! :)

  5. Well thats odd, and compounds my theory of so many Sandbergs turning up. Almost what I wanted has turned up for sale at BassDirect! haha!

  6. So Sandberg owners... do you know how flexible they are on the configurator? Would they make this? Also can they do an overspray look on the aged finishes does anyone know?

Like this, but black over white.

Yeah, admittedly it wasn't a very scientific analysis - small sample size = dodgy stats!

Thats surprising... it does seem there's always a used Sandberg coming onto the market

  8. So here's my dilemna - they look great, I've seen a lot of good looking basses coming out of there. They make some lovely options and finishes, their relic/aged finishes look better than most companies. My problem is that I see more for sale second hand than anything else. The second hand market is flooded with Sandbergs. Bass Direct posts a second hand one almost every day it seems!

Are they any good? Or is everyone sucked in by the plethora of options and finishes and then they're pretty average basses that you want to move on within a few weeks of delivery??
