For a lefty, it gives the option of loads of 'righty' necks to use.. This maple strat neck is far better than the lefty r/w it came with.

We have one of these for the right handers in the house.. it's a fantastic bass! Has a massive sound from the P p/u,and so easy to zip around the fretboard.

A real bargain at this price!

If your computer can handle it ... record and mix in 24/88.2k rather than 44.1 or 48k. A startling improvement in clarity/quality for free!

Man, with that sort of quality at 48k - I'm confident you'll love working at 88.2 ( it's like lifting a blanket off your monitors...)

Thanks G. I actually prefer people to post the URLs as I can't view embeded YouTube on my Kindle Fire HDX, which is a major pain in the ar$e for me, especially on threads that are YouTube content heavy. If I'd known the Kindle didn't support flash, I probably wouldn't have bought it.

With many and myriad mics available at low cost - it seems hard to find audio clips to get an idea of sound quality...

I have been praising my RV15 (Sylvania valve) on the forum here for a while now, so i thought I'd share a recording to hopefully back up my enthusiasm and hear the mic in use...

What kind of brick structure - old or more recent,single course or double? concrete floor or other, how's the integrity of the roof,etc

My bitza Strat - The guitar is made from a budget Tanglewood strat body, cheapie Wesley maple neck, GFS Mean 90 bridge and neck pickups with GFS lipstick in the middle... upgrade electrics and Wikinson hardware.

Soundwise - very stratty still,but louder,fatter and a bit darker with an extra sting that responds to pick dynamics - I get a lot of fun from it.

You have tried the mic directly into the interface ( to eliminate a fault with the Penta), different leads,etc?

I made a partscaster with GFS Mean 90s in the neck and bridge (lipstick in the middle). The video posted above gives you an idea but the sound quality makes it hard to actually listen - I'll get a clip recorded...

I think The Focusrite Bilbo mentioned is a channel strip fed to his interface - I use a[url="http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/nov01/articles/trackmaster.asp"] Platinum Trakmaster[/url] myself....
