3.
I won't have a bad word said against the Norwegian wonder group A-ha. I think they are great and have them on my itouch. I wonder if I should be saying this in a cheesy metal thread.
Cheese? It depends on what you define as 'Cheese'?
4. f***ing 'ell BD...You will blast this gig sideways..... How much dust will fly from your jeans...It'll take 20 years off you come the 1st chord....Rev up that classic valve fuzziness and watch the flashbacks. DO IT,NAIL IT,KICK ASS!
5. Heres mine....Until the next one.
6. So Rich...you remember 'Sounds' then (nerd fact...Angus Young was on the cover of Keerraapp iss:1)
7. How old are some of you Metal fans on here?
8. Opeth were labelled 'Forest-metal' on their first lp 'Orchid'.
9. Re-'poopcore' You can/or rather did get Pungent Stench (Austrians) that had a really nasty fixation on 'Scat' (and we aint talking Jazz vox stylee here). Swans (though not METAL) did create frequencies at gigs that caused punters to vomit spontaniously...
10. I like C&W....SOme of its hoaky, but its as soulful as Blues,Folk and Soul as anything... Modern stuff reeks a little, but theres good voices out there.
11. I wonder if anyone here can actually double a blazing kick pattern with their fingers? (Hint-hint..Can we talk techniques ,before we degenerate into mindless slanging of X bands or what band is in which genre..please)
12. All sound is over-rated......You will never get anything more beautiful in a tune than Bob Mould's work in Sugar.
13. You lot have just made me dig out a few Death lp's
14.
Unfortunately I have a day job that interrupts my playing I just noticed it's Friday the 13th too
Get back to the shed!!!!
15. sh*t YER PANTS Brilliant fella.....You'll nail it,all those years of exp..leaking from the fingertips.....
16.
"The Best" is always a personal opinion and it's shame that if a post isn't prefaced with IMO, IMHO etc then it's jumped on. In my opinion, "the best" car is a Mk1 Toyota MR2.
I disagree...lets have another 5 pages arguing the toss.
17. Obituary Chopped in half and The end complete lp's
18.
Yes... but how many of those use a Fender as their main instrument? A quick glance reveals plenty of players who are just as famous for playing a different brand of bass. Proves nothing.
Probably what they endorse vs what they use in the studio are totally different, often the case.
19. Ours...(Its drop C though) soon to be drop A
20.
+1 Personally I don't like 'bullshit' but I sure do smell a whole load of it when it comes to basses and bass gear/accessories generally Peter
Thankyou Whats your 'Spot the Bullshit' question?
21.
Ask this lot !!!! Precision Players Jazz Players
KO in the 4th round...good post.
22. Yamaha for me..... Bit cookiecutter, but they are tough, sound good too,and built ok for what you are getting. Look nice as well, even if it is veneer.
23.
MY GOD, I SIMPLY CAN'T TOLERATE MY SCRATCHPLATE ANY LONGER!!!!! PLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It broke.....Cracked around the pots.it gave me and the singers kid a lesson in not smoking too....all new white on the underside,a sickly stained yellow on the other...and white on black with a black P/U looks odd to me.
24.
Admittedly, that was my first thought. I you're a musician on the payroll, you turn up on time, play the gig, get paid and go home. End of story. I get paid thousands of pounds a year to play music I loathe. You just have to keep your mouth shut and take the money... Rich.
The best bit is when the dough goes to good use....but GOD getting it can be AGONY!!!
