1. Take a look at Transcribe (seventhstring.com) - drag and drop from iTunes, change key, tempo etc. I have found it useful. I think there is a free version too.
  2. What no bass chat folk attending? Just me then.

  4.
Richard Bona with Pat Metheny live. It's not just his soloing, his accompaniment to Metheny's playing is an amazing piece of fretless work. http://www.notreble....h-richard-bona/
I was lucky enough to see them live - great gig. Richard also did some great vocal stuff too, but the man who stole the show was the drummer - Antonio Sanchez.
No probs, Sue. Anyonr else going?
Not from my neck of the woods as far as I know.
  6.
Possibly 'Something' by The Beatles - not because its hard to play, buts because its hard to sing and play that bassline!
I agree. It's even harder to play and sing the harmony line! Great bass line though.

Looks like I might have to miss this one - (damn!). And it's such a great venue.

  13.
I find it really easy to learn stuff like harmonies. Mind you I think i'm more of an "ear learner" as it is so that's probably something to do with it.
Ditto - I have always been able to easily hear the harmony - and make one up if there isn't one!
  14.
Why does it take half an hour or so to learn a bassline and three weeks (or more) to learn the harmony? It's like the harmony has to be engraved onto my brain so that I can switch it on at the right time.
For me it's the other way around! Sue
  15.
Slightly different, but how do you hear what you're singing ? We've tried stage monitors, but were thinking of in-ear things ?
Ah, there's the rub! I use a monitor with a mix of vocals in it (me and the other 3 who also sing!) and a teeny bit of bass. I haven't tried in-ear monitors, and would be interested to hear from anyone who has. Sue
