1. Hi All,

I've felt prompted to introduce myself after seeing the last post from Essex! Been a member for a long time but have only become quite active in the last few months and realised I have not introduced myself!

I have been playing for about 15 years in various bands, mainly rock, and my current squeezes are a 91ish MM Stingray black maple neck and a Lakland JO Jazz with J retro, although I have been hanging around the For sale forum alot recently alot of good stuff on there!

Currently playing in a couple of wedding style covers bands, but a target for the year is to try and learn a bit of theory, the forum on here looks really helpful.

2. Hi guys

Putting a feeler out on a couple of my basses for trades or sale, which are not getting the use they deserve.

I have a 2001 Fender US deluxe, pretty much mint contition, just one small laquer chip on the side of the neck, tried to show it in the photo. Burnt orange, rosewood neck, 18V active noiseless pickups. Comes with mint condition original hard case. Lovely bass but I have an active Lakland JO jazz and they do the same thing. [s]£800[/s] £700

Also have a black Washburn AB10, bought this as an ex demo about a year ago and have not used it much as I also have a fretless acoustic.
It has a couple of marks on it. The laquer has a couple of small cracks around the control panel (I have read this is common with these basses) and a small scrap on the back (see photo). Neither of these are anything to worry about and other than that its great condition. [s]£200[/s] £160

Tradewise i'm keen on a lakland dj, sandberg california, 75 reissue or mm sterling.

3.
Folks,

I have an overwhelming gas for a fretted or Fretless Wal, yes I know they are very rare these days but I can't stretch to £4k for a new one.
I have a mint black/black maple Sadowsky Jazz and a Natural/Black Rosewood Sandberg they are both gorgeous! - Pics to follow but they are available to view in the gear porn section.

Not interested in selling or trades for anything else other than a Wal, I would prefer a fretless if one is out there.

Just a punt....... but if you don't ask!
I would be more than happy to buy the Sandberg from you!

I know you said no sale, but as you said...just a punt! :)

4.
Spent a few years studying these things and I'm pretty certain she's a natural and not a blonde :)
Yeah shes a natural blonde! Yeah thanks for pointing that one out!

5. This was taken in a trade from MB1 (hope you don't mind me reusing your pictures?!?), as I had heard alot about them and I really fancied having a go on one.

It is a lovely bass, very versatile, but I have realised I am just being greedy, I already have a musicman and two great jazz basses and realistically I won't get round to playing it much.

Spec
2 G&L USA humbuckers
Swampash body
Hard rock-maple neck with rosewood fretboard
G&L-designed Saddle Lock bridge
Tri-Tone active/passive electronics
3-way mini-toggle pickup selector, preamp control, series/parallel control
Treble boost/cut knob
Bass boost/cut knob,
Volume knob

Theres hardly a mark on it, looking for £375, preferably collected from Chelmsford Essex.

I also maybe persuaded on any trades for a good quality, loud, lightweight cab to suit a Markbass LM2 (preferable 12" speakers)

6. Just had a trade with Martin, great guitar and nice guy to chat about basses and gear to!

Many thanks for making the effort to drive many miles to collect, sorry I didn't book the weather

Good to meet you

7. Need to clear some space and raise some cash so I am thinking of selling my Ashdown Head and Cab wondered if there would be any interest

Its the original made in England EVO 500W in really good condition for its age and still sounds great

ABM 210 Cab in great condition too has a home made cover which has kept the leather scrape free think it is 8 ohm and 300watt off the top of my head.

Would like to get £375 for it not the best photo feel free to let me know if you want anymore

8.
The body wood isn't Afzelia on that eBay listing and I'd be inclined to say that it certainly looks like it could be Cherry (I had an early SS I that had a Cherrywood body and that doesn't look a million miles away).

If the date is correct (mid 90's) then that will be one of the early bolt-on necked Streamers. IIRC they didn't have an LX or any other designation they were just Streamer BO.
Thanks for that I think you are correct. Would you recommend it the bass bearing in mind your experience of it? I am mainly a rock player and used to a fender jazz, but fancy giving a Warwick a try, on a budget, would you expect to pay about £400 for one of these in good condition?
