I'm still not convinced by the subscription model for software either, and I'm not alone in this respect. Only one of the advertising/design agencies that I freelance for has "upgraded" to Creative Cloud and that's only because they needed more licences and CC is now the only option for adding new seats.

They always find a way to get people to migrate! It does make you wonder where the subscription line will end doesn't it. -
Good grief. Black and gold. Wow.

Are you using steel rounds or nickel? Be intrigued to see if there is much of a difference corrosion wise.

Easily solved....
We could have a "rickenbacker" section, and a "better than rickenbacker for less/same/more money" section with everything else in it.
I am of course kidding.
Jokes aside, it ain't broke. The mods do a fantastic job keeping things relatively neat; and the search function works a treat. -
Well it seems like its falling on its a*se spectacularly.
Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie sums up perfectly why;
“I think they totally blew it by bringing out a bunch of millionaires and billionaires and propping them up onstage and then having them all complain about not being paid,”
“There was a wonderful opportunity squandered to highlight what this service would mean for artists who are struggling and to make a plea to people’s hearts and pocketbooks to pay a little more for this service that was going to pay these artists a more reasonable streaming rate. And they didn’t do it. That’s why this thing is going to fail miserably.” -
No Idea how, but this is still available.....

Drop to £280. Bump

Maybe a touch of overdrive? Thats what I do on my P with flats to get a bit more bite and cut.

The aphex bass exciter really gave mine a lift, really underrated pedal as well.

I've always been intrigued by the whole p bass & humbucker setup, was does it sound like?
I played one of these a few years back and I'd go as far to say it does a pretty good impression of everything; all the while still having that Sandberg character. The Jazz sound you could get was awesome.
For £700 there wont be a better bass on this forum IMO. -

I really hope the guy gets a result and the rip-off merchant gets royally fingered by the Police...!!

That sounds painful
Jokes aside, horrible situation for anyone. Nevermind being in a different country. Excellent to see the BC community offering help though. -

No what I'm wondering is as anyone else had a very bright sounding jazz, and fitted pick ups that changed the tone. I thought by fitting 84's it would darken it enough. It has but in a harsher way.

Surely experimenting with strings is a fair bit cheaper than trying various pickups? As Grangur said amp, cab and EQ are all thats left after that.
