  1. If you like the feel of Sunbeams, Fat-Beams are a good way to try stainless without going too harsh, they’ve still got that round core warmth, but with more top-end bite. On a P-Bass they’ll cut a bit more in the mix while keeping some of that round low end. The main trade-off is you’ll notice more finger/fret noise at first
  2. That’s exactly why I keep going back to them. Proper customer service is rare these days
  3. This thread reminded me of my own garage conversion project last year. I struggled with that same hollow echo until I tried the acoustic slat wood wall panels from Decor & Decor. I started with just a few samples in walnut on the long wall and was amazed at how much it cut down on the noise and even made the room feel a bit cozier. Once I saw the difference, I added matching panels on the opposite side and it really transformed the space into a liveable studio, and it helped keep the room warmer, too. If you’re after a straightforward solution that looks great and works well, those panels might be worth a try.
  4. Man, chorus live is like magic when it hits right. Adds that dreamy wobble and spacey vibe, especially killer on moody tunes or when you’re doing melodic fills
  5. Dude you’ve been through it. Bursitis and vestibular neuritis? At a gig?? That’s some hardcore musician stamina right there. Glad you got through the worst of it
  6. Yeah, Rob Mullarkey feels like he’s playing through the bass, not just on it. Like the instrument disappears and it’s just pure expression. That combo of freedom, groove, and taste is so rare it’s technical mastery but never for show. Always in service of the music
