    Just got back from my 1st practice with the 5 string It went ok but going to take a bit of time to get use to it. It feels strange 25 years on a 4 now I've got five. Now do I gig this friday with the 5 or the 4. Think I'm going to sleep with it sorry I mean on it LOL.

    Hi guys I've just got my first 5 string, its u.s.a precision and I just can't put it down. Its going to give me a lot more scope. I wish I would have got one earlier. For some reason I've allways put off getting one. But now very glad I did. Woop Woop.

    Hi Higgie thanks for telling me about the colour now I know. I am after either a 5 string jazz or 5 string precision or a stingray, Our lead guitarist says I could do with one as we do a lot of covers that are transposed and when I do this we lose the bottom end, So I'm hunting down a fiver.

    Hi there up for sale is my ray born in 2000. I've owned this bass for around 2 years, the last owner bought new from Gough and Davy in Hull. He said the colour is Orangeburst and not many were made in this colour. I don't think the pictures do it justice as I took them near dusk. Its in very good condition apart from 2 Lacquer dings as in the pics. One on the bottom horn and one just above the rear strap button. Neither dings can be seen from the front. It comes with a hardcase. This ray like all others sounds sweet as a nut. I'm open to trades I'm looking for a U.S.A 5 string jazz, 5 string precision, or sell for a reduced price of £700 plus p&p. I live in Grimsby but would be willing to drive to Thorn services on the M18 or Scunthorpe to meet the perspective buyer. Any Questions please feel free to ask.

Its in great condition with no rips in the tolex. It has two chanels one vintage and one modern. Also it has two valves in the pre-amp section. This gives it a nice warm sound more so in the vintage section. It also has an adjustable HF horn. I've only used it a dozen times at practice and never giged. Reason for sale is I have to downsize I have been told. I'm after £500 which I think is cheap, as it cost me £789, 18 months ago. I won't ship the amp because of the valves, pick up only. any questions feel free to ask cheers Ian.

    Yep they both have bud, you know how to wire it up, I'm a bit lost. My last amp was a v4-b 15 years ago, that was the last time I've played, things have have moved on since then. Thanks.

    Hi guys I was just just wondering if any of you could help me here. I am using two rigs, one to get a dry sound and one to be affected. I am using an ampeg B1-RE and a B2-RE , a 1x15 and 4x10. The way I am wiring this up is by using my Boss GT10B going into the pedal input via a 1/4 inch coupler, then coming out of the coupler to the B2-RE into the 1x15 so running it dry, then the output of the pedal into the B1-RE then into the 4x10. The problem is I get a buzz out of the dry amp. Taking the mid and treble lowers the buzz in the dry amp. The amp and cab that has the affected signal is fine. Both amps are D.I,d to the mixing desk. Hope you could help here.

    Yep i"m gonna check that when i get a min. I just wondered if anyone else had come to find this problem this is my second stingray and never had the problem with the first one.

    Hi there guys I have a problem with my stingray it goes through batterys like you would not beleive. Last week we had a 4hour practice with my new band, a brand new energizer plus goes in ok during the practice but this weekend i got it out of the case plugged it into my amp and all i got was a distorted farting sound. I took the battery out put on my tongue, and there was hardly any power in it. I unplug it when not in use and have tried duracels just to see if it was a bad one. Can anyone shed any light on this cheers Ian.
