It's my second one. Stupid to have sold the first one seeing as I didn't particularly need the money, I was just trying something else at the time.

This time, if I do ever decide to stop using it for any reason, I'll just put it in a drawer somewhere ready for when I see sense and decide to use it again! 😁

Same here. I just sold it cause I’d brought something new.

Ive sold too many pedals over the year that I regret selling.

File them away in a draw till they come back to mind. It’s hardly big money to be made in selling them. Only ever achieved that once (managed to hang onto one that’s now back in rotation rather than selling it and regretting it) but it’s definitely the way forward

    My latest setup.

Wee Lush FX ABC pedal allows me to keep all 3 basses that I use live plugged in and switch between them for a faster change over.

The VT Bass, Leeds and "Phthonus" (Tri-Logic Bass Preamp clone kit) are each then effectively presets for each of the 3 basses.

I regret selling my VT.Bass. Brilliant pedal. You can do a hellovalot of damage with it ! 😜

Great exercises, ranging from easy warm ups to some really challenging exercises. Janek describes what he uses each exercise for.

Is there any audio to download?

Got the book today, only flicked through it. There is a link for a video. Not read it properly yet. Something to look forward to later. just thought I’d have an ask here

Yeah I'm surprised more people haven't got into it. It's sort of like Boss' equivalent of the EHX Micro Pog. Polyphonic octaves up and down but with a tone control and modulation.

    I did a video of it :

Octave up and down. Never expedited that from its title. I’ll watch the link you have posted and report back 🤘😜🤘

  5. New board I’m very happy with. New board, power supply, cables, case. ....... just kind of feeling sorry for my old board. Lot of history together. It’s made up of two PT nano+ grafted together. I was debating splitting it back down and making a small essential board but  prob best just get another board for that. Would hurt it’s fee breaking it up  😂😂😂😂😂

  6. Anybody used this for making patch cables with or is it a bit overkill ?

Currently using the regular VD cable with Neutric jacks made by me with out any issues.

    Bored and debating tinkering 😜

  7. I was recently recommended to get a copy of this book. Bass Aerobics by Jon Liebman.

I have to say it’s by far one of the best practice books I’ve ever found and highly recommend it.

My question is. What practice books do you use and recommended and why ?

    Cheers

    Dan

  8. The last bass I brought was a 2006  HH StingRay ,  really love the tone of position 2 , (outer coils) but all my others are single H (2x stingray and a Bongo) (got a Jazz but that’s  something totally different)

lovely matching pair you have there btw

The quality of EBMM is right up there.

But, considering I bought a brand new untouched from the dealer Musicman Stingray HH guitar (not bass) for around £1150 about 6 months ago, and they are now £2400+ (although they do now have a lovely roasted neck) I really struggle with new pricing, and that applies to Fender. and Gibson!

Bongos are now £1000+ more than a few years ago.

They are excellent premium instruments, no doubt about it.

I paid £1050 in late 2006 for a brand new 2005 L.E In buttercream. It was simply old stock. It’s new pre order price was over twice that if you wanted on the day it was released.

The only options I had with though were take it or leave it, not that I’m complaining in the slightest, still got it and in daily use

I have a friend and bandmate whom is selling a Stringray.

I don't know its age, serial number, etc, so am not sure of its market value,  but I made the mistake of letting him slip it into my hands at a weekly blues night we host. Given that I've had other Thursday gigs for a month now, I think it's fair to say that I've had Stingrays on the brain for some time now!

I'm waiting to buy a house and am technically homeless for the time being, so buying his or any other isn't really an option, but it's given me some nice daydreams to take my mind off matters a bit!

I think you either love them or hate them. Me, I’ve got 3 (and a Bongo H) wouldn’t want to play anything else (apart from the token Jazz I’ve got 😜

Unfortunately, there is no correct answer to this question. I've got 10 of the flippin' things and they're all different 🤣

If you get the Stingray bug, it won't stop there either. Pretty soon you'll be looking at HH's, HS's, SLO's and Sabre's. You'll know you've fallen down the rabbit hole when you've bought your first Bongo 😎

Lol 😝 yup that’s me. SR4H. Three band. Then came another SR4H. followed by a Bongo 4H and recently a SR4HH..... I thought that should of killed all gas but now my attention is in the direction of a Big Al..... or maybe a Reflex?

    both 😜
