@bass_dinger It’s no wonder, 10 weeks on the bounce is too much for anyone.

The most I ever did was 9 and that left me frazzled, take a break, you’ve earned it.

I saw these on the website and I’m definitely tempted, I’d go for the orange bass all day long 😁👍🏻

At least the cab got there, if EVRI were involved it would’ve disappeared, never to be seen again.

I’d like to add Wayfair to the list.  After not delivering an item I bought, they kept telling me that it was in transit, out of the blue they refunded my money claiming that the item had been discontinued.  If it had been discontinued, how could it have ever been in transit?  The item that was supposedly ‘in transit’ never materialised.

With reference to the ‘banned’ songs, there are always going to be songs that at least one member of the band doesn’t like but as I see it, it might be the favourite song of someone in the congregation and, it might’ve made their day to sing it.  Having said that, I’d be happy to give ‘My Lighthouse’ a miss for a while 😂

I turned 56 in August and I feel like I’m just getting warmed up.  
 

My only gig is playing in my church Worship Team but, I play more now than I did in my 20’s and 30’s.

I use a wider strap nowadays and my bass is a bit higher than it was in my metal/rock days but apart from that, I’m still learning, I’m still enjoying it and as long as God has a plan for me, I’ll keep on playing 👍🏻.

Anything with Niels Henning Orsted Pederson on bass is a must in my eyes, and ears 😁👍🏻

No cabs, everything we hear is through IEMs.  I’ve only started using IEMs recently and I love them 😍 

The silk windings on the new D’Addario strings certainly put the DUB into double bass 😂 

@dmccombe7 I played my Squier 40th Anniversary P-Bass strung with La Bella Deep Talkin’ Bass flatwounds through a Boss TU-3 tuner, an Ampeg OCTOCOMP and a Darkglass Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 XLR’d straight into the desk.  My only gig is playing in my churches Worship Team, it always sounds great and the shorts are always tan 😁👍🏻

Thank you for the heads up, I have read on BC about fake strings being sold through Amazon.  I’ll give them a thorough going over when they land 👍🏻

@Beedster I just found a great deal on Amazon, I got a set of D’Addario JC610 3/4M medium tension DB strings for £86, they’re normally around £145-150 😁👍🏻 #happydays

I need some new strings for my 3/4 EUB but my budget isn’t what it used to be, what cheap DB strings can anyone recommend?  Thanks.

@Beedster Huge thanks for your input, I’ll definitely give gut strings a miss and stick with what I know.

Has anybody put gut strings on their EUB?
