There’s a couple of medium scale basses I like the look of on eBay but they’re in Japan so would have to add 20% on the price and pay that before delivery but just wondered if it’s safe to order from Japan via eBay and if people have had positive or negative experiences doing so? Thinking of selling my US P bass to fund it.

Thing is the boss is £200 (£140 2nd hand) and the Source audio is £300 and haven’t seen any used ones. It does look great though if cost didn’t come into it for sure. But the Boss can scroll through 4 presets via footswitch. Does the EQ2 as it looks like a scroll wheel?

Yeah I’m thinking it will be more useful as it goes down to 28hz and maybe this would replace my HPF and the MXR eq. The ability to have 4 presets to scroll through would be good when changing basses or moving to a pick. Just got this MXR new though. Nothing wrong with it at all and does the job while keeping quiet but just thinking the Boss might be better

Got the MXR 6 band eq today and seems great so I can have my usually finger tone and then kick it on when I use a pick. But now thinking the Boss might be better as you can choose between 3 bandwidths and basically have control over more lows and low mids and then have presets you can scroll through. size is fine but just wondering if there’s any reason I shouldnt get a Boss EQ200 for bass guitar?

Cool, we do some queen and Ac/DC too. Yeah I prefer the sound of a Precision but I’ve got the Fender Aerodyne 32” medium scale which has the traditional Jazz bass pickups. Hoping the MXR 6 band and some of your setting get me a nice thick tone or I’ll be looking into pickups and series/parallel switching.

Had a look at Maruszczyk and not really digging them. Just want a P bass,32” scale,body a little bit smaller to match reduced length. Im sure they would sell all of them and great for bassists starting out who don’t want a Mustang from their range. or make a 32” mustang even.

I got a 32” Fender MIJ Awrodyne bass and totally love the scale length for me as I’m a shorty and looks less ridiculous on me than my 2 P basses do. Fender do 30” Mustang basses which are a bit too small and feels off playing rock on one. But why is there a made in Mexico 32” scale with the body size reduced 6% like the Japan bass? surely they would sell after people played them and realised it’s best of both worlds playing a medium scale bass. It’s frustrating to me because I prefer P. Japan did a few Jazz Bass 62 Medium scales and a few Aerodynes like I have but no MIM or MIA. What’s up with that?
