5. Hi All I thought i would give you guys / gals the chance to buy this on here before it goes on the bay. I had this of Tom a couple of years ago and has been a great bass, i have had some work done on it such as full fret dress and set up (low action) and copper lined at a guitar & bass luthier in Leicestershire which cost me £100. There was nothing wrong with it but i just wanted It spot on hence it plays superbly and sounds great. Its a std Jazz Bass (except for the extra work of course) in black with white black white sctratch plate, great neck easy to play. It has a couple of knocks which i have tried to photograph but not come out that well. other than this its a top notch bass for anyone looking to up grade or as a reliable back up. I have played a few American Jazz basses to compare and honestly for the extra money you pay theres nothing in it (IMO) It also comes with a basic hard case (not Fender). I am looking for £295 Cheers Stu Hopefully pic will upload. I also have to fit this 2 other scratch plates 1 mirror & 1 vintage pearl @ £10 each which i would prefer to go with the bass but may sell seperate. 6. After speaking to John over the phone i was confident enough to send him cash for the above item, as soon as the money arrived he dispatched the recorder. It was very well packed and was exactly as he said. Easy transaction, really nice guy and someone to trust. Thanks again Jynxterstu

 16. Hi there I am looking to trade my Black 1991 MIM Fender Jazz Bass which has had luthier work - Full fret dress & copper lined it also has a Babicz bridge and recent strings. Sounds fab as is std with a Jazz also has a low action. has a small dint bottom of body, other than that its spot on IMO. It comes with std white and vintage pearl scratch plates. I am looking for a Cort Artisan A4 as 1st choice, Ibanez SR700 2nd choice, then possibly a SR600. The reason for the trade is i dont find the fender comfortable to play as my cheap cort so thought i would try and trade for a higher end Cort / Ibanez. Face to face is prefered. I am in east Mids area. Thanks Jynxter
 17.
I've just received my final copy of Bass Guitar Magazine after subscribing for three years. When I first started reading it, I found it really informative and interesting, now I just flick through it in about 30 minutes, and don't bother to pick it up again. I love reading reviews of new basses etc, but I found that they seem to predominantly review basses, that are way out of the averages bass player's price range, so because of all these things I cancelled my subscription. When the final copy dropped through my door yesterday, I thought to myself, am I going to regret not getting it any more? but when I started reading it, I knew that I had done the right thing. Once again, it was totally uninteresting, virtually the same adverts in every single copy (I know they have to make money), but I think I have seen Geddy Lee sitting on those Orange amps far too many times now, and interviews with mainly unknown bassists from not-very-well-known bands talking about their playing styles, telling us if they use a pick, or play finger style, whether they do, or don't slap etc, Yawn!!! and of coarse, then there is the great bass guitar review for millionaires! They had a nice £5,200 GMR Flow Out 6 on review in this edition, think I'll just nip out and get me one! or I could save a bit, and get one of the Enfields, as they were only £2,650, or the Yamaha TRBJP2 for £2,999, or the Dingwall Afterburner III £2,845. Ok, they did also include a couple of Fret-King basses at just £599 and £629. This must be really off-putting for younger players out there, who buy the magazine for ideas and inspiration on what's on offer, only to read about high-end basses all the time. There are so many great basses below £500, but how are they to know how they play and sound, if all they get to read about, are reviews on basses that only the rich and famous can afford. Sorry, rant over! I just needed to get this off my chest, and just wondered if any other BC's have similar thoughts. If not, I will just have to accept that I am just a grumpy old man!
I agree with you ! i cancelled my subscribtion 12 months ago for pretty much the same reasons. The other thing that drove me mad was they rarely put comments on photos which on many occations helps follow the review or story. Your comment on the Geddy Lee add made me LOL. Nice Jynxter
 18. Hi Oliver & welcome to BC I visit Brussels quite a bit, any suggestions for small venues to check out local bands. Jynxter
