haha you and me both
Hopefully mine will end at the bit where Zender pulls his signature pedal out of his pocket and repeatedly demands in a loud German accent that Warwick guy gives us a demo of it.

I'm going to have nightmares tonight about being sat between Stuart Zender and JK in a pub unable to move, then that other bloke walks in with his god awful Warwick 7 string fretless.

Up for sale is my Moen Uni-Comp pedal.
It is in near mint condition and comes with original box and instructions. It can be powered by battery or 9v supply, both tested and working. To clarify that the little black marks are part of the cosmetics!
It has a very good review at ovnilabs, and is meant to be based on the Diamond Compressor. I cannot vouch for how close it is in that respect though. It gets quite squishy at higher settings, has tons of gain, and is a very quiet pedal. It has a tilting EQ for tonal adjustment.
I would like £35.00 which I think is fair considering these do not come up very often, and this is a fine example. Price will include postage and will send to UK Mainland addresses only.
Cheers,
James.

IIRC Qmax stuff was made by UK loudspeaker manufacturer McKenzie. Quite reasonable
quality PA cabs back in the day.
Right, as you were.....
Good info, thanks. It is a very good sounding cab, though I will most likely be giving it away at some point!

I have an old Q-Max ( who?) pa cab with a 15", 6", and horn. It only has about 200 watt power handling but the sound quality is excellent. Sadly its not really up to being heard in a loud rock band. Its spending most its time as a coffee table at the moment.

Do I see a pattern here..?
No not at all. My first response was just simply stating a fact about myself, not a sign of grumpyness at all. Second response was a statement of personal experience. 👍

I did that on a sound check once and the bloke behind the desk got the right hump.. 😁
Every sound bloke iI ever encountered apart from one were grumpy, short tempered tw@ts from the offset to be honest.

When I was in a gigging band my soundchecks mostly consisted of me playing E-E-E-E-E-E-E until I got a thumbs up. I'm not a bass soloist, not into playing party pieces, nor impressing anyone with great technical playing ability. Maybe boring but It did what was actually needed. I proved my "ability" by playing the songs well with my band when it was time to perform.

Roger Waters signature Precision bass. I doubt he ever played one, but one of the best basses I've owned.

I use an Ultimate GS-1000 Pro for my bass also.

Perfect for Freemasonic RATM fans.

The drummer looks like he's thinking about what to have for dinner most the time, the guitarist really needs to invest in a bottle of Timotei for his rancid looking mop, I didn't hear what the bass player was doing as I naturally tune out the sound of Jazz basses, plus I was distracted by the swaying hips.
-
The lower the better, and play louder also. If you don't leave the practice room feeling sick with a headache from all the life threatening low end frequencies and half deaf with it.... you've not really played bass. 😐

My mum who is in her 80's loves the Disturbed Sound of Silence cover, as do I. She prefers to listen to it over the original which she knows well.

Nice to see Gibson's build quality has improved greatly.

Some that I love that most others hate or dislike, but why should I care what anyone else thinks?
AC/DC- Fly On The Wall- Gets judged on below par production, but some of their best songs, killer guitar riffs throughout.
Black Sabbath- Never Say Die- I love how different it is to the previous albums, great songs, Bill Ward had a much better voice than Ozzy.
Marillion- Holidays In Eden - nice songs with a pop edge.
Camel- Breathless and I Can See Your House From Here- I just like the songs on them.

Me too! But given the paucity of bass round these here Borders I should have done at least 10... And I'm actually nearer to one of the very few (@Bleat) than I indicated on the map - security, doncha know!
I knew there was someone on here somewhat near-ish to where I am, but I couldn't think who it was! 👍

I have never had a problem with any bass with the 3-point bridge. All were pretty quick and easy to setup, and I think it looks nicer than the Fender style BBOT. I never really got why so many people seem to hate it. As long as you just slacken the strings off to remove the bridge before changing strings, it's all good.

Chord OC-50 Octave Pedal. OC-2 Copy + Fuzz Overdrive- £35 - *SOLD*
in Effects For Sale
Posted · Edited by Bleat
Up for grabs is my brilliant Chord OC-50 Octave Pedal in excellent condition.
It is built like a tank, tracks exceptionally well, and is as close to the Boss OC-2-as you will get without buying a Boss OC-2.
It has dry/ wet mix, does oct 1 down, and can be set to either + oct 2 sub down or oct 1 + overdrive/ fuzz which can be mixed in as required and is a great feature.. It's like being Muse all in one pedal!
It has a small mark at front of footswitch as shown, and there is still a little bit of plastic protective stuff round the bottom of concentric pots which I haven't managed to prise off.
Battery or 9v supply powered, neither included.
Price includes postage to UK Mainland addresses only.
