  1. There are some T-Rex Tone Trunk 56 boards including hard case for £49 + £10 postage on Reverb at the moment. Not sure if that is suitable for what you are looking for?

I don't even have any pedals at the moment but very tempted to buy one anyway!

Edit to add it can be used in or out of the case.

  2. My totally uninspiring Encore P-bass in incredibly tedious sunburst finish with not very complimentary nasty faux tort scratch plate that I decided would maybe look better with some fab and groovy flower stickers attached. I thought it would maybe encourage me to pick it up and play it... it doesn't and it didn't...I hate it and probably couldn't give it away.

  3. I use Swing Bass 30-85 and have done for quite a while. Not the usual thing for a "rock" bass player but then I'm a rebel very much do what I want 😎. The light gauge and low action allows me to play more lightly and faster if I need to. I also have a bass Xtender with a double stop lever so can drop D and Low B. The D is fine and sounds great, though low B is a tad floppy.

  4.  SWR T/O/P + Goliath III. Also posted in the SWR section. I like the punchy hi-fi quality to it, reminds me of my old Trace gear. Not had chance to play with it much so far, though I think it has the potential to knock walls down.

  5. These are called the Solfeggio frequencies. While I can't claim how effective they are, it's interesting that we all have favourite music which we "resonate" with. It's is nothing more than combinations of frequencies and waveforms all of which can be measured. One's personal, emotional reaction to it can't... I would call music a true metaphysical phenomena.

A talent knob, what a great idea!

" woah.. can you roll the talent button right down, this is a '76 punk cover.." 😁

I was careful not to use the phrase "talent knob" as I generally use that when referring to guitarists, however I do think guitars should come fitted with some sort of  "knob bypass circuit".

  7. The older Laney bass amps eg the RB heads are fairly neutral sounding, so a good option if you want to hear the sound of your bass more than the tone of an amp. I had a Laney RB 300watt 2x15" rig for a while a couple of years ago, and also used a Laney Keyboard combo in a live band for a couple of years around 2001. It never let me down and was plenty loud enough for the style of music. I have a little Laney Hardcore Max combo now but don't really use it.

  8. Yeah I get all that, just found it funny seeing so many on there. I will just look for something else. I have watched a few JHS vids and find him quite entertaining but I do think he's become too big and influential and knows it. I saw the pedals before I had seen his review. I'll wait until they are worth £25 quid again!

  9. Has anyone else seen the amount of Bad Monkey pedals now suddenly appearing on ebay going for ridiculous prices  thanks to that JHS demo on Youtube. I was looking for a cheap overdrive pedal and thought "Might try a Bad Monkey, they don't go for much".... how wrong I was. Amazing how one man's word can price people out of what is nothing more than a cheap budget overdrive pedal.
