1. Nice bass! I've only tried one of these once but it definitely left me wanting more.
2. I'd been wanting a fretless for quite a while but could never find any in shops, so on saturday when I found myself relatively nearby I took the chance to bassdirect and ended up leaving with this! I tried some cool basses there but this was something else entirely. The metal fingerboard plays and sounds great, and looks pretty snazzy too for good measure. Very good craftmanship all round, it's really solid, feels nice and balances well. The pickups/preamp seem very nice, haven't been able to try it loud but I like what I hear so far. Action was already set up well but if it ever needed changing the bridge has a very good adjustment system. Closeup of the neck with new Labella flats on: Definitely the nicest bass guitar I've ever had, it makes my others feel like toys with how solid and it feels. I can't get anything done because all I want to do is play!
3. Bought a piezo pickup and preamp from him, very easy to deal with and everything went smoothly.
4. Steel strings, although I'd like to try nylon in the future so I'd probably prefer a transducer pickup anyway. ^What research I've done has turned up the David Gage realist too, seems like a good bet.
5. I'm looking to get a pickup for my double bass so I can use it with a band more easily than with a mic, and know nothing about them. The most important thing is a nice full pizzicato sound , I hardly ever play arco with the band. I'll be running into a DI box -> pa if that makes much difference. Looking to spend <£150 probably, unless there's something not too far out of that range that's a huge step up. Thanks!
6. This is the same one, I bought it off you! And the LED is insanely bright, the tempo flashing thing is great.
7. Earthquaker Devices Sea Machine: Great chorus pedal, really versatile, from subtle shimmery chorus to completely whacked out pitch shifting, slapback/reverb. Lots of control and nice sounds. £100 Boss ODB-3: Pretty good OD pedal with blend and a 2 band EQ, capable of quite a few different sounds. SOLD EHX Small Stone Nano: Very simple, good sounding phaser. £30 All 3 have small chips in the finish but generally look good and work perfectly. Prices include UK postage. I can get pictures on request, but I don't have a proper camera unfortunately so they'll be fairly low quality from a webcam.
8. Prices shipped in the UK. Ibanez CS-505. Old 80s chorus pedal from the TS-808 series. Very nice chorus sounds, there's a bit of a volume boost when kicked on. It's a great pedal, I'm just looking for something more tweakable. There's a hole in the side a previous owner drilled for some reason, the battery clips don't work (very easy fix, but the pedal goes through batteries so quickly I wouldn't recommend using them and haven't bothered to fix it), and the back cover isn't original, but it works perfectly. £60 with 18V power supply and adapter. £50 without the power supply. EHX Polyphase. SOLD.
9. My favourite bass distortion/fuzz is the Smallsound/Bigsound Team Awesome Fuzz Machine. It's got a great clean blend to retain attack, and ranges from quite a nice low gain drive to completely crushing. Loads of low end, amazing sound.
10. Polyphase arrived today, shipped very quickly and perfect condition. Bump for a great seller.
11. Can the pedal in the loop only be used when the GR is switched on, or can it be turned on any time?
12. How much for delivery? And also, I really want this, but I won't have the money until next week. Would you be able to hold it for a definite sale?
13. I went on that same site and didn't find any. *facepalm* Since those saddles are so brilliantly cheap I'll order some right now! Thanks!
14. The bridge saddles on my MIM Jazz often get lower when I play hard. It's not gradual, they just jump downwards to a lower position. This must be due to either the screws or the saddles (or both) having a bad thread, but what should I do? Get new saddles and screws? And where would I get them? I've tried a little bit to search on the internet with no results. Just get a new bridge? If I did this I would definitely get a better bridge, like maybe a Badass? People seem to like those? Thanks!
15.
Hi MD. Yeah, it's big. You'll need a shopping trolley with decent casters at the very least..! Physical Dimensions are as follows (WHD in CM) 63x78x35 It weighs probably as much as a big sturdy dog would, although I've never picked one up so can't be sure... Really needs 2 people to get it upstairs/any non-slidable distance. I've attached an additional pic so you can compare size relative to a nice can of bitter - I know how you students like yer ale... Casting aside the impracticalities of its larger size, it is a lot of (good) amp for the money, but if it's portability you're after then it's almost certainly not for you. Cheers for looking and getting in touch.
Damn, sorry, it looks perfect, but portability is pretty much the number one issue for me. Oh well, thanks a lot for answering so well and quickly!
16. Is it portable? Or too heavy to move without a car? Also, how big is it?
