A good article on a-ha dot com here.

Also, a +1 from me for the Wine Cellar pedal. I love it.

This is the latest addition, it's a high/low pass filter which I'm using as a 'thumpinator' because my new amp doesn't have one built in unlike the previous one.
It's a clone of a Broughton Low+High that I bought as a rough nearly-finished project and rehoused in a nicer/smaller enclosure. It's an always-on, so to be honest I needn't have bothered with the footswitch, but it was already built so I kept it. Annoyingly the drill slipped when I was drilling the low pass hole so it doesn't quite line up. When it gets so I can't look at it without cringing, I'll rehouse it again with no switch.

I love the sound of flats on a P and I wish I could get that tone on mine, the problem is that I absolutely hate the way flats feel. For me they feel almost slimy, they make me want to wash my hands. Hard to describe, but there's no way I could play them for any length of time. Maybe I'm just weird, but eucchhh. No.

I started a subscription at The Bass Show in Birmingham and have yet to receive a single copy either in print or digitally - I have messaged Dan Edwin a number of times and he says it will get sorted but still no magazines at all.
I paid on credit card so will hopefully get a refund but it is truly shocking customer service, never seen anything so bad.
Likewise. I've cancelled my sub and am going to look into recouping what I paid for the undelivered copies.

I agree with Nancy. Plywood is a much better bet, stronger and considerably lighter than MDF.

I've given up reporting stuff to Farcebook. The other week I reported a hideous individual who was ranting on about immigrants, referring to them over and over again by a very derogatory name beginning with W and rhyming with 'snogs'.
Perhaps predictably, I was informed that apparently it didn't contravene any of FB's "community standards".

Not unlikely. If he's been trading for 40 years, Brynn must be thinking of retirement. If he can sell the brand name and add something to his retirement pot, good luck to him.
And he was building guitars for a good few years before that too. Beautiful lute-back acoustics, if I recall correctly.

At risk of appearing unimaginative in my replies...
4 minutes ago, Phil Starr said:You are quite right to be completely outraged by this. There is however little point in losing it with them. You either accept this as fait accompli or try to fight. Believe it I've been there as I supect have most of us. You could try telling the drummer that it is your band not his and if he wants to go off and start an entirely different band with his new guitarist friend then he needs to do so.
Like @pickguard I'd be ringing the singer and asking if she is happy with the changes, make sure she knows you aren't asking her to change sides just whether she would prefer being in your band with the set list she agreed to or the new band with the extended guitar solos. She may be extremely unsettled knowing she is working with such devious selfish people but let her raise any aspect of how they've behaved. Be the nice guy. My prediction is that this band won't be stable with two big egos and no personal loyalty. With that choice of music gigs are likely to be thin on the ground. Anyway with the singer on your side you are in a strong enough position to recruit new people.
...this, in its 100% entirety.

All this happened without anybody speaking to me.
Jesus wept. How did you find out?
To be honest, it's probably a good job you found out so early on that he/they are capable of such disgraceful sh!tbaggery. You may have dodged a bullet further down the line.

Although a 15ft Trace speaker might be a bit too heavy for most of us, will bury that weedy little 18" you played through!

I seem to recall back in the day reading quotes from a few name players who reckoned Trace's cabs weren't half as good as their amps. Can't remember who now. Anyone else remember this?

Yes! Still got my copy lurking somewhere. I could never understand why on earth they included that last track. The sound quality is absolutely horrible, it sounds like a partially chewed cassette being played on an Amstrad tape player that has been dug out of a landfill. I don't think I've ever listened to that track all the way through.

It's a no to both of those.
To be honest, in light of what everyone's saying here, I think I'm going to follow the classic flowchart...
