1. OOOOOH ... it would have to be the opening 2 minutes of "Power to Love", by Jimi Hendrix. It's on the "Band of Gypsys" live album ...

  2. That's cool, thanks. It's more for recording purposes to be honest. I'm producing some (home made) dub at the mo'. I'd prefer the sub bass to come from my bass guitar and not a synth. I hadn't counted on trying to play it live through my microbass ... but yeah, you're right.

  3. When I was 16 my best freind bought an electric guitar so I bought a bass for jamming purposes. it was an easy choice to make as I was big into the Red hot Chilli Peppers, and loving the sound of the newly breaking Jamiroquai. Flea and Stuart Zender were the first bassists to put the spark in my head and inspire funk in my fingers.

  4. Just had the nice surprise of finding an old cheapo Rocktek phr -01 phaser that belonged to a guitarist I knew with about 15 years ago. So, I've been experimenting.

As a phaser it's nothing special on its own, but it does wonderful things post-distortion, and pre-envelope filter. It sounds huge. especially with the distortion. I'm surprised at how clean and thick it sounds. It is a little loud however, and the build quality is awful.

Just posting as I love this crappy wee pedal now. You can buy these on the bay as cheap as chips. Go on! for the price of three pints you can have yourself a wee gem!

  5. Trace Ellliot SMX Dual Compressor

Classic dual compression pedal. In good working order and cosmetic condition ... only a couple of tiny wee chips in the paintwork, and one of the buttons is slightly sticky. The pedal is in the original box, includes 18v power supply, and manual (photocopied).
