3. let's bump this up guys please read the original post again this is a bargain for a brand new bass
4.
i was about to ask what you were replacing all your basses with..
After having got used to the fanned frets, I am finding it difficult to return to parallel frets in particular those on my 5 strings basses where a low B on the Dingwall it's like a totally different instrument compared to that of an EBMM 5 string bass.
5.
That CV (CowVibe) Jazz looks just great.
Buy it, it doesn't just look cool, it's also an amazing player with an incredibly accurate 60's Jazz tone.
6. Thanks guys! I've just been to the Bass Gallery in Camdem to put a deposit down on a new Dingwall and the waiting time is..... 4 - 5 months!
7.
?! what was it?
It was the 6th from left or 3rd from right in my signature pic, the Fender Japan 51 reissue Precison.
8. Ok peeps both basses sold privately through eBay! Thanks for the interest. It was a blast!

10. Sold - Bass no longer available Thanks
11.
this is a musicman extermination
Life is like a box of chocolates... you never know what you gonna get next.
12. Right peeps. Only one bass left, the Bongo 5HHP was sold today to a gentleman in Germany (sale outside of the forum, through a friend of mine) Only remaining one is the newer of them all the Big Al 5 S/S/S If you are pussyfooting around a dcision whther or not to get this bass, PM me to avoid disappointment, I don't think she'll last long all on her own. Thanks!
13. Up she goes...
14.
Come on people grab it while it's here. This bass is on eBay so bid bid bid! A super good bass for a super crazy price. A gentle bump is what it needs
Guys I have to agree, look if I didn't have the very same one I'd jump at this chance, I am kicking myself for having paid £1250 for mine brand new and this chap is selling it for £900!! You'd be mad to miss out they are SUPERB basses!
15.
Half a turn?! That's loads! I've never had to do more than an eighth... maybe a quarter at a push... when the seasons change. I've also found that summer to autumn seems to flatten the necks off (introducing rattles and buzzes), rather than causing more bow, so I've gone to the left at this time of year. Do different neck woods react completely differently to seasonal changes?
Well seriously don't quote me by the letter, half a turn for some basses and less for others, yet it needs to be done when winter is setting in.
16. I think this one needs another BUMP
17.
is he saying warwick funny or is he right and ive just been talking about a town near coventry? I know someone with a nice early neck through streamer for sale......
Actually it's only us here in the UK that pronounce them Warrick like, whereas in Germany where they are made, and in the rest of the world they are pronounced war-wick
18. Would you like me to draw you a pic?
19. Ok someone in Germany is very keen on the Bonk'o any advance here in UK, please before I settle a deal with Otto Schmidt?? Bump!
20. Time to give the trussrod a half turn to the right.
21. orangepeelneil, let me put my 5p worth here. I have probably bought one of the last 51's reissue "Crafted in Japan" series, before Fender decided to discontinue them earlier this year, leaving only the Gordon Sumner model to continue to be sold. Just as you I would feel well embarassed if my bass said Sting on the fretboard, I'd sooner chisell it out and plug the hole with a nice maple veneer bit to match. Yes it is a slab body, but if you look at the inside of my arm after playing it for a night you won't see a painful indentation, nor am I developing warped nerves. You might not like the look of a slab body but in those basses the secret in the sound has a lot to do with the body mass. It's an heavy fugger, but it pays you back with an accurate rendition of the period correct Precision sound in a way that only those who play it and hear it can "get". I say if you find one for sale on ebay, as often they do pop up, prance on it as it wil be a choice you will not regret Here is mine, and this is a keeper.
22. I love Ed and his playing, even a plank sounds pukka in his hands. This is his latest video (Yeah I am that sad, I have subscribed to his channel) in which he sports a limited edition Warwick Streamer LX in a rare redwood top. Now I am not that much of a Warwick fun, but whether it's Ed's playing or the bass this sounded very good to my ears. CZECH it out!
23. Here is a man enjoying his new instrument, as caught on iPhone camera by a friend. Even a friend of mine loved it so much he never tried a bass before in his life but he was making musical sounds with it, without knowing a single note against a drum loop (ok he was stoned but hey ho)
