You were very lucky and not many people get stuck between two right decisions. Although I still think I'd have made the "other" right decision, (that Dingleberry is a really fabulous instrument), your plain jane, flat fretted, numerically string challenged Sandburg is also just lovely. It only takes a minute sat with her to realise she's not a plain jane at all but much more the goddess next door.

Keith just bought my EDB and what an easy transaction it was. He transfered the money to my bank the day we agreed a price and I know my bass has a good new home.

I was thinking that I could probably post this, as it's solid enough and could be well wrapped. It is just as they are in the shops, probably set up a little nicer but I'd still prefer someone to come and do some playing before paying. -
Thanks for the comments guys. I've always thought that it's quite nicely proportioned from body to head. There is an Epiphone wildkat in the background on one of those shots and that has a head that doesn't fit to my eye. It's still a lovable thing though of course.

A totally biased reply here. I say biased because the one bass I would recommend is the the one I have up for sale on here. I would have given you the same answer a week ago when I wasn't selling it as I think it has the best acoustic sound of any bass I've seen. The Tacoma Thunderchief in any guise is a big sounding bass, warm, woody and loves to be played.

So, I've shared the nasty with you all in the for sale section. Here is the upside. I found this bass looking desperately unloved and abused. It was sold as a Squier, badged as a Fender but I doubt it's either. Looking to keep things simple and classy, back to wood and a light oil. Some quality hardware, probably hipshot and some nice passive pickups. Right sorry about that, the gallery name and the filter here didn't get on......sorted now. So far we've got to here. Not much but you can tell she feels better already. As I went down through the layers of crud smeared on her, each one was nicer than the one that replaced it. The very last one, the original finish was a lovely blond lacquer with just a hint of wood showing.

Along with my Tacoma, this needs to go to make some space. There is a room in my house that is in danger of looking like a toy shop, sorry, I mean studio. There is not too much to say about this one. It's tall, it's surprisingly well put together and it's heaps of fun to play. Does it sound like a double bass, not at all. It does sound big and round and will make you do things that a fretless just wont. Plus you get a dance partner while you're playing. The gig bag is nice and plush inside and has special pockets for the removable body extentions and even one for a bow. I've looked around on the net at the current prices and the cheapest I can find is £322. I'd like £250 for this one that's never been gigged or transported anywhere.
