2.
A gem of a bass my friend. It looks very Alembic. I love coco bolo. Does the teardrop string anchors kill the sound at all as opposed to the round keyhole type?
Hi I agree, it looks like cocobolo. But it is ash with a dark grain in a dark glossy finish. The seperate string anchors are of no influence on the sound. The strings even tend to sing less when playing. I think this is due to the fact that the 2/duo string holders always give some of the vibration to the other string your not playing.

    Hi

Thanks for the warm welcome. Well my rigg is rather big, but the Cauberg in Valkenburg is bigger I hope to trim it down soon. When the new AH1200-12 arrives...the MP11 and PPA600 can retire. Even the TC compressor won't be needed I think. The compressor on the AH is super

    Hi

    Thanks guys.....
  5.
Superb Trace rig. I like the look of the MP11. Nearly got one myself actually. How do you find the Peavey era cabs compared to the older ones?
Hej Ped The MP11 is a nice gadget. The presets are super to work with. About the "peavey era cabs" Well....TRACE IS FINALLY BACK after many years. I've played the old 4x10"s combined with the 1818x. This was a monstrous rigg Trace watt's are realy something else The new line is superb. They are LOUD and very tight in sound. A little bit more distinctive that the cabs from the ealry years...but 100% Trace again. This is very hard to explain, being Dutch hahahaha But now Trace is having a hard time making the "wrongs right again". This is the legacy that Gibson left behind. The old Trace Elliot dealers in the Benelux lack trust due to Gibsons way of doing business. But the marketing machine of Peavey will help, I'm sure of that. Trace will need some time to settle in between all the other brands. But what fender is to the bass guitar, Trace is to the amplification. Only for that it should get it's well deserved place back again.
what's that stringless wonder on the right?
Well this is a long story... In short, this is a bass build by an ex employee of Alembic (initials BC) The bone structure of this bass is fantastic. But the finish and form/contours of the body of this bass were bad. So I stripped it and started to give it more shape. Now I'm still working on it (sanding, sanding and more sanding) hahaha

    Hi

Hi I'm John from the Netherlands in a small town Called valkenburg (near Maastricht) My age: I'm 40 years old and that's very easy to see. I play the bass for someting like 25 years now and still loving it. I use Status and Clover Slapper G5 basses. I drive them trough a ART nightbass-Trace MP11-Trace PPA600-TC C300 compressor and through Trace 1048H cabs. (my second cab is ordered, but it will take some time to finally get it) This stuff is hooked on a furman power conditioner. Well, that's it for now... Here's a part of may gear The complete gear on my (ex) eden d210XST cabs
  7. My former rig with 2 Eden D210XST There's a C300 compressor from TC Electronics, a furman powerconditioner, MP11, PPA600, korg tuner, and ART Nightbass. They ar all cased now And a 4x10XST Another shot with my single TRACE amp This is the rigg I use today. I played Trace heads and cabs someting like 23 years. I only pplayed Eden for a year or 2 (these are super cabs, but they didn't have the "trace sound". So I waited for the "post gibson" line to come out I'm still waiting on my second 1048H becaurse I like to play stereo. I use an MP11 in the effectsloop of the ART Nightbass and power that with my "tank" the PPA600 In december this tank will be replaced with the new AH1200-12 from trace. My main ax and PPA 600 on big "rubbers"
  8. I had this Jaydee build for me by Johnny Diggins a few years ago. These are very fine basses with that beautiful distinctive Jaydee tone. I had some features of the GA24 on this bass. Like the string anchors and a custom made brass Jaydee logo inlay in the headstock I sold this one 3 years ago and I regret it sometimes...but Status and Clover Slapper basses make things bearable I owned a Jaydee some 20 years ago, the necks were very "unstable" then. Now this problem is taken care of by using a stronger truss rod. Here's a pic of my Jaydee bass
  9. Hi My name is John. From the Netherlands. I've owned several Status basses en 2 Clover Slapper Giant 5 basses. A few years ago I sold my first Slapper. Now This is my other Slapper. I had the Status Black beauty kingbass and a Status Series II classic NT 5 string. But this Clover is better. Never understood why these basses never took off like status. This bass has both a quited maple top and back and I think the center part is mahogany. Here are some pics.
