I'm 17 but I wasn't brought up bass wise into all the RHCP stuff, he is good no doubt about that but after I'd been learning for two years I stumbled upon fretless and Mick Karn and Jaco Pastorius I rate them way above him (I can promise that most 15-18 year old bassists will say they are inspired by Flea).

Hey, I'm Laurence. I've been playing bass for four years, I have a MIM Fender Fretless Jazz Bass 1998 (I sanded the body down and added alot of new parts) and I have a Fender Rumble 100 as my main bass amp (for sale next month). In September 2009 I'm going to ACM to start my Higher Diploma in Bass Music Performance. At the moment I'm building my own fretted Fender Jazz with new parts I'm buying off ebay at the moment (Nordstrand NJ4SE pups, DR Strings, Leo Quan Badass II and alot more!). so yeah thanks and bye!
