Did you buy this after? I have a pearl white Elite II which Id recommend to anyone. I reckon this would be just as good. As far as Im aware it has the same electronics and neck as the black and gold Cliff Burton used. The Elite II is really easy to play for long periods of time and if you have fenders too (as I do) the neck is always a pleasant surprise when you pick it up. I vote do it.

I have one of these in pearly White/ivory, atleast I think it's an elite. mine has a different control config though. I have stacked pots. Awesome bass. Easily the best neck I've ever played.

No, that was the problem, i wanted one sound from the bass it was in so a pre woulda been out of place. I have since put an SPB -3 in said bass and I'm now over the moon with the one tone wonder. I'm glad you're happy though. If you ever want to sell it hit me up. I think this could be my perfect bass

As a T-40 owner I can vouch for these being absolute beasts! you will not be disappointed no matter what your disposition. this is a good price too.

Ok. That is a status S2 of some description. I'm not massively in the know about status basses but that's more than likely a custom build. I'm not sure headed status's are any more valuable than headless ones but this certainly isn't a cheap bass. I'm sure someone on here will be able to give you a good estimate of value or build cost. I'd say that's a very very low price for such an instrument though.

Just thought Id let you know that my bands record is finally out. You can get hard copies from play, amazon, adsa, tesco, WHsmiths online, or if your a Downloader its on itunes. either way its pretty cheap and Id love some feedback (on the songs, not my playing).

The first expensive bass I ever bought was a Warwick Streamer Stage 1 5. What a hateful waste of money and time that was. I've never spent, nore do i ever intend to spend anything like that money before or since. I reckon its just GAS. You want a new bass but you cant quite justify another 4 so you're thinking about a 5. Take my advice, get a 4.

Any idea what the preamp problem could be if there is one? I'm currently bidding on one on eBay. If it goes for any more than this I'll snap it up given that the preamp is ok

Honestly don't care what condition a new bass is in or weather or not it is new. It's all about sound and feel. That's an end of it in my opinion.

I have a 4string se98. These are amazing basses. Best superjazz I've ever played.

How's the exchange rate and what would postage be to the mainland?

The only things I have to offer that fit the criteria are a grabber or a T-40
