1. I'm selling a Seymour Duncan Basslines SCPB 3 pickup. I bought it to try in my resonator bass but ended up going for something with a lower output. £30.
2. I have a Phil Jones Bass Cub that I'm looking to sell. It's in great condition and comes with carry bag and sounds great. £350 ono
3. I'm selling my Alvarez MSB 27" scale travel electro acoustic bass. It's in great condition and has been strung with Status Tapewounds short scale strings. It has a factory fitted Fishman Ion preamp. I've used it as a 'round the house' practice bass and it's great. Complete with soft case. £165 delivered. 4. The Beard cone was fairly expensive, but the pickup is just a SCPB3. However, I'm likely to change that for a Fralin in the future. The biggest cost was the labour needed to sort the shoddy insides
5. K & K Pure bass pickup for acoustic basses. Never fitted, so boxed as new. £60 ono.
6. I've got an Alvarez MSB which is a cool little acoustic bass. Strung with short scale half rounds and good fun to take away.
7. I play it with a thick pick and it's fine for playing intimate gigs / open mikes. Anything louder with mic'd vocals and I'd use an amp anyway.
8. I've picked up a Regal RD-05 resonator bass and had my local luthier change the cone for a Beard legend, and fit a Seymour Duncan pickup. This thing is awesome now! Upon fitting the cone it became apparent that the workmanship inside was pretty shocking! I'm now over the moon with it, it sounds great unplugged in my trio and lovely plugged in. Here it is with it's little brother:
9. I went for a Phil Jones bass cub and couldn't be happier; amazing amp!!!!
10. Thanks for the tips. If I run my Martin acoustic (with K & K Pure Mini) into a clean bass amp I'm guessing an EQ pedal before would help a lot. I know the impedance of Boss EQ pedals matches the K & K's, but would I be better off with a bass EQ or guitar EQ?
11. I play in a three piece blues band and we generally have two set ups; fully electric with me on bass with a guitarist and drummer, and an acoustic set up with me on guitar with another guitarist and cajon. The acoustic side is getting quie a lot of gigs now, and I want to incorporate bass into the set. I have an acoustic bass at home for practising, so I think I'm going to get a K & K Pure Bass fitted into this. I know I'll need an amp, and I've been on the hunt for one anyway as a stage monitor for our acoustic gigs. Does anyone have any recommendations for an amp that can handle acoustic bass and acoustic guitar for gigs. I've looked at Fishman Loudbox's but I'm not sure they'll handle the low end. The Phil Jones bass Cub looks like a good bet. Any other recommendations? Cheers.
12. I'm selling my double bass with pickup after not finding time to learn it. I bought it from a local lady who gigged it regularly. It's been set up and has had a pickup fitted. I have added some stickers to the neck as markers but these can be easily removed. It also has a soft case. I'm after what I paid, £400. Collection only from north Suffolk. 13. I'm selling my wood bodied Parlour Resonator guitar. I believe it to be a Busker Cannon, but as the badge was not present when I got it I can't confirm this. It is in excellent condition and comes with the pod case. I have it fitted with Newtone Nickel 12-54 strings as I play it in standard tuning for New Orleans style swing stuff. The nut has been professionally lowered so any slider's might want that raised. The hand rest has been made removable to aid setting up. The cone is a National Hot Rod one. It's a great guitar that I've really enjoyed. £300 ono. I'm in north Suffolk but could post if necessary. Hear it here: https://youtu.be/uvAaMtrO8zI (Pictures before cone upgraded)
14. Takamine G501S with hard case. In good condition and sounding great. Nice beginners acoustic or round the house picker. £125 ono. Collected from Suffolk, or can post.
15. I'm looking to sell my 2006 Martin HD-35 dreadnought acoustic. It's in excellent condition and has been fitted with a Fishman undersaddle passive pickup. Comes complete with Martin hardcase. It's an awesome guitar that sounds amazing, but my preference is for 1 3/4" nuts. I'm after £1,500. Here's the spec from the Martin website: www.martinguitar.com/model/item/193-hd-35.html
16. Yeah it does! Thanks for the quick information.
17. I've just bought my first double bass and it's been fitted with a pickup. The lady I bought it from didn't know what it was, so I was wondering if anyone could give me any idea as to what it is, please?
